With various areas requiring reliable new team members, depending on your previous experience and skill sets, you could find yourself doing any of the following activities:
General Animal Husbandry including assisting to monitor growth rates against targets;
Young stock management and preparation of culling lists and weight records;
Feeding and watering of birds to meet their requirements;
Irrigation Management - record maintenance and water usage data while observing crop health and irrigation effectiveness.
Machinery Operation - Responsibilities include performing daily machinery checks, operating tractors and other equipment safely, and maintaining cleanliness and functionality of machinery. Collaboration with supervisors and mechanics for servicing and repairs is required.
Farm Maintenance: Tasks include weed control, general earthworks, and upkeep of farm assets. Record and report maintenance activities, perform basic machinery servicing, and adhere to safety protocols.
Safety: Adherence to company safety policies
Plant equipment and infrastructure maintenance activities including fencing, water reticulation, laneways, and
drainage, stock handling facilities, shedding, feeding areas and equipment;
Contribute to meeting Biosecurity and WH&S requirements; and
Other duties as directed by management.
Award : Horticulture Award 2020 Level 1: Annual: $46,357 p.a Hourly rates: $23.46 p.h Level 2: Annual: $47,622 p.a Hourly rates: $24.10 p.h Level 3: Annual: $48,926 p.a Hourly rates: $24.76 p.h Level 4: Annual: $50,704 p.a Hourly rates: $25.66 p.h Level 5: Annual: $53,688 p.a Hourly rates: $27.17 p.h Available Positions: 75 Estimated Start Date: 02/12/2024 You may have the opportunity to progress through the above levels based on role availability, aptitude for the tasks, prior attendance and performance record. To be successful, you must meet the following requirements:
Australian Citizen / Permanent Residency / Full Working Rights in Australia are essential
Pass a Pre-employment medical check including drug alcohol test
Physical Stamina, Attention to detail, Strong Work Ethic and willing to work as part of a diverse team
Willingness to work in hot and cold environments in a factory setting
Be able to provide two reference checks

Availability across day and afternoon shift - Early morning and Mid-afternoon starts depending on your assigned role and previous experience.
