About the Role

Located at our Melbourne Airport Contact Centre, where every interaction is an opportunity to connect with our customers. Who we are looking for

In the first month…

You'll become familiar with the technical stack by contributing changes to various parts of the platform. Additionally, you will meet with your manager to establish short-term and long-term goals aligning with the team's objectives and GXE's overarching priorities.

In the first three months…

You will escalate your involvement by taking charge of small to medium-sized features or projects, engaging in every phase from product definition and design to implementation, deployment, and documentation. You'll showcase your leadership by presenting these projects to the team. Collaboration with stakeholders and clients will be key to gathering requirements and ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals. You'll actively participate in GXE's quarterly planning, contributing to the documentation process through various means, such as writing tickets, updating technical documentation, and preparing design documents. Additionally, you'll seek and incorporate feedback from peers, managers, and stakeholders to identify and act on areas for improvement, furthering your professional development.

In the following months…

You will progress to owning medium to large features and projects, overseeing the entire process from requirements gathering to successful delivery. This period will also see you contributing to the long-term technical roadmap, highlighting your growing influence on the strategic development direction. You'll have opportunities to engage with the entire technical stack, which includes making development improvements and enhancing production infrastructure. You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar Application Packaging role. You will have exceptional knowledge of packaging tools, InstallShield, PACE etc. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11 and MacOS operating systems. You will have knowledgeable skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, VMware Workspace ONE and Jamf.

You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.

• Assigned project activities are completed un-supervised or under guidance of the Project Manager if assigned
• Close collaboration with customers to ensure delivery of project outcomes
• Identify improvements/project opportunities within new accounts and/or contribute to the Service Improvement register for existing clients
• Accurate and efficient delivery of project tasks minimising re-work
• Accurate and timely contribution to project reporting
• Accurate and timely completion of time sheeting for daily activities
• Up-to-Date utilisation forecasts based on assigned work are maintained
• Assisting pre-sales with scoping of project engagements in customer environments
• Managing workloads to allow warm handover to BAU when required for project engagements

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer - 3 Month FTC for a leading education institute. You will be working with dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts, and Azure Data Services.

• Extensive experience in data modeling and testing
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL querying
• In-depth knowledge of Azure data services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage
• Proficiency in SQL Spark, Python, SQL Server
• Understanding of Azure security best practices and compliance requirements
• Experience in designing and developing data models within Azure Cloud and Synapse
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data models

• Assisting the store manager to identify future talents and putting together development plans to support their progression
