Oaks Cairns Hotel are looking for a Guest Service Agent who is passionate about providing excellent customer service to join the team on a casual basis.

The moment a guest steps into our hotel you will make them feel at home with your welcoming and warm presence. You have the important job of guiding guests through their stay, from smooth check-ins and check-outs to insights on the local attractions and eateries, you will be remembered for your superb customer service and positive energy.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, including plumbing, painting, plastering and carpentry repairs.
• Respond promptly to guests requests for repairs or maintenance issues in guest rooms or common areas. 
• Conduct inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Be able to communicate clearly over the two-way .
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Fix door locks, room safes, room A/Cs, sand pumping, laundry issues and other maintenance issues

Requirements

• Proven experience as a handyperson, maintenance technician, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques.
• Ability to troubeshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Excellent comminication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to priortize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as needed.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing.
• Able to deal with guests, at a high level of customer service standard.
• Capable and trust worthy enough to work alone.

As a Vehicle Detailer, you’ll meet SIXT Australia’s vehicle presentation standards, exceed customer expectations, and contribute to the successful daily operation of the location.
