Revenue & Billing Officer (H&C)

Catholic Healthcare is growing! We have 5000+ employees and a new opportunity for an experienced Revenue & Billing Officer with exceptional communication and customer service skills, to join our large finance team at our Corporate Head Office.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the revenue for our business unit through financial administration processes. Your primary focus will be on Medicare payment reconciliation, end of month billing as well as maintenance or clients’ accounts.

Your proactive approach, high attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders will aid your success in this busy position.

Your days will include;

• Completing monthly billing for clients, brokerage agencies and direct debits
• Reviewing and lodging monthly Medicare claims and CW unspent Funds
• Processing client movements including admission, discharge and leave
• Processing refunds and exit payments in accordance with the established procedures, Government guidelines and timeframes
• Reconciling Medicare payment statements and adjusting any variations
• Generate brokerage statements and prepare unspent balance calculations
• Monitor and respond to Shared Mailbox
• Promptly and accurately managing the day-to-day accounts

To be successful for the role, you will have:

• Experience in a similar position within Aged Care (highly desirable)
• Accounting Qualification or similar (desirable)
• Proven experience using software systems and online portals including Procura, Axapta, Medicare Online Claiming
• Excellent customer service, communication skills and problem solving skills
• Positive “can do” approach
• Ability to provide evidence of Covid19 Immunisation

What do we look for in a Care Worker? 

• Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role including experience with personal care
• You care about assisting our aged community so they can live independently at home for longer. 
• You have a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
• You don’t sweat the small stuff; sometimes your customer will be having a bad day or traffic delays you. You know not to take this personally and to shake it off before your next customer.
• You're available to work at least 3 days - Monday - Friday. No night or weekend work here.
• You're comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.

• Morning: 6:45am to 2:45pm

• Night: 9:30pm to 7:00am

You will be responsible for providing essential personal care services for our residents to ensure a high quality of life. This includes assisting our residents with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, assisting with meals service, mobility, and social support.

To be successful in this role you'll need:

• Completion of Cert III or Cert IV qualifications in aged care, independent support, or similar
• Previous experience working within a residential aged care facility

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
