Our Mission

The Role

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to join us in our mission to change the pet wellness game, and help our furry friends live out their best lives. Sitting within our Strategy team, this role will work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Lyka’s executive team and play a pivotal part in shaping the future vision for Lyka, and the roadmap to get there.

You will support the CEO and executive team in achieving our strategic objectives. You'll oversee our company wide strategic planning, manage special projects, and ensure effective communication across departments and within the executive team.

What you’ll do:

Strategic roadmap and planning

• Work closely with the VP of Strategy and leadership team to shape Lyka’s vision and long-term strategy, covering new products, channels, markets, and capabilities, as well as the operational investment required to meet these strategic demands. Help to define the rollout of the Strategic Roadmap process across the organisation.
• Partner with the executive team to operationalise company visions and goals to medium-to-long term forecasts, and short term actions to ensure these are met.
• Lead annual and quarterly planning process alongside the executive team, ensuring alignment between budgets and forecast to operationalise our strategy.
• Ad hoc special projects support for strategy team as capacity allows.

Executive team and board operations

• Drive the agenda of the Lyka executive team (weekly meetings and monthly offsites), ensuring they are focused on the most critical topics and decisions.
• Review and work with the executives to revise key materials and updates to the broader executive team, full company, and board.
• Support the CEO and COO in coordinating skip-level catch ups and providing other ad hoc support.
• Support the preparation of board materials (including board resolutions).

Company-wide governance support

• Drive the agenda, coordination and preparation of our company-wide all hands meeting and other company wide comms.
• Set and ensure best practices around internal communications.
• Support improvement and maintenance of company-wide resources and documentation.

• 3+ years' professional experience, preferably with top-tier strategy or management consulting co, or within a fast growth start up, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering results.
• High commercial and strategic acumen, with a strong attention to detail.
• A can-do attitude and a bias to action; exceptional organisation skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Confident and clear communication, along with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience working closely with senior leaders and executive teams.
• Extremely proficient in MS Office tools (including PowerPoint) and able to learn new tools / system.

As a Director of Sales, you would play a key role in the contributing to overall success of the business by engaging with new customers across the financial services community and solving their operational issues through offering our market leading solutions.

What does this role entail? 

• Meeting or surpassing sales/revenue targets by acquiring new clients to support the company's overall growth objectives.
• Working across a greenfield territory with the opportunity to work across and contribute to enterprise sales motions on a global scale 
• Managing of the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, and overall pipeline management and development.
• Collaborating with our Demand Generation and Marketing teams on creating and implementing a structured prospecting plan aimed at mid-large companies across various industries. This involves selling software solutions and consulting services to C-level executives, management teams, and end users.
• Establishing effective relationships with key decision makers within customer or prospect organizations to sell them the best products and services to address their needs and enhance cost efficiency.
• Negotiating legal and financial agreements, such as NDA's and MSA's.
• Cultivating and managing strategic relationships with operational and executive staff or prospects to ensure the highest levels of operational efficiency.
• Leveraging existing relationships within partner organizations to establish deep and trusted advisory relationships and generate new deal leads.

• Having excellent interpersonal skills is crucial for building trusted internal and external relationships. This involves being able to communicate effectively, actively listen, empathize, and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
• Being results-driven means being motivated and focused on achieving objectives and delivering high-quality outcomes. As a self-starter, you should be able to take initiative, work independently, and be proactive in identifying and addressing challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Dynamic interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. This includes being assertive when necessary, having an impactful communication style that can influence actions and business decisions, maintaining a high energy level and demonstrating a bias for action, earning high credibility and respect from colleagues, and approaching tasks with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

• 8+ years of experience with proven success in software sales to financial services industry
• Experience selling across Capital Market, specifically in the Asset Management space 
• Strong sales experience working with complex customers and segments of their business, across all levels if stakeholders, include C-level executives.
