About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager - Group Tax to play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and compliance of our organization. This role combines traditional accounting expertise with strategic structuring skills, ensuring that organizational entities align with regulatory requirements and corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will work closely with legal counsel, tax advisors, and executives to design structures that optimize tax, financial reporting, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Structuring: Advise on and create efficient legal and organizational structures for tax efficiency, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and asset protection.
• Entity Formation: Guide entity selection, oversee documentation and filing and manage banking relationships.
• Financial and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure entities and overall structure comply with IFRS, GAAP, and other standards, setting up internal controls and record-keeping aligned with regulatory needs.
• Cross-Border Structuring and International Tax: Provide expertise on international tax treaties, transfer pricing, and profit repatriation for cross-border entities.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior position within a large commercial organization, or at a Senior to Manager level within the audit, consulting, or taxation divisions of a Big Four or Second-Tier firm.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and taxation principles, with a proven track record of managing complex group reporting functions.
• An extensive understanding of tax laws pertaining to business entities, corporate structures, and cross-border transactions is highly desirable.
• Substantial experience in managing and reporting within intricate group structures, ensuring that all reporting complies fully with financial and regulatory standards.
• Advanced skills in conducting thorough research and analysis to support informed, data-driven decision-making in the realms of regulatory compliance and corporate structuring.
• Established ability to collaborate effectively across various departments, accompanied by excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will form and play an integral part in our Head of Department structure.  You will ensure the highest possible standards of efficiency and professionalism in the Front Office / Guest Services department. You will lead by example and your hard work and passion will be rewarded with plenty of responsibility and a real opportunity to shine!

You will assist in providing managerial oversight and daily coordination to the front office team; from task allocation to team rosters and an escalation point for guest or team queries. You will ensure effective communication and liaison with other departments and Resort Management, to guarantee a smooth operation.

• Proven experience in leading and managing teams with a customer service focus – hospitality/tourism industry will be highly regarded

• Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays as required
• CRM system experience not essential but highly regarded (Newbook and/or RMS)

The Role:

We’re hiring a GM Architecture to join our technology team and play a pivotal role in shaping technology and architecture blueprints critical for fulfilling AP+'s strategic objectives.

This position collaborates closely with business units and stakeholders across AP+ to ensure seamless alignment and adoption of organization-wide architecture principles and policies.

Proposed Position Requirements are:

• Leading & ensuring the effective planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of major and complex projects relating to critical I&T architecture and infrastructure programs, initiatives, strategies, and frameworks.
• Providing technical leadership for the delivery of compelling digital architecture and infrastructure solutions.
• Ensuring a defined set of architecture standards are documented and adopted within the branch and across the department.
• Significantly contributing to the effective planning, management, and delivery of the I&T branch’s functions, goals, and objectives.
• Establishing and maintaining productive partnerships with external IT providers to ensure optimum allocation and utilisation of digital resources.
• Representing the department in senior-level and/or inter-agency delegations and negotiations pertaining to digital architecture and infrastructure.
• Provide architectural leadership and chair organisation-wide architecture review board ensuring the architectural and solution design decisions are thoroughly considered and aligned to the business strategic goals and objectives.

This role will also see you provide expert leadership, consultation and best practice processes when it comes to:

• Solution & Payment Architecture
• Best Practice & Compliance
• Partner & Vendor Management
• People Management

In order to be considered for this role you will need to display:

• 10+ years’ experience working in either a “Head of” or “General Manager” role with robust experience across core aspects of IT architecture within the Financial Services sector.
• Experience across multiple Architecture domains, including the implementation of Architecture in various large organisations.
• 7 years+ experience in delivering major business solutions into production within multiple project teams.
• Excellent communication skills, flexibility, team focus, and dedication to customer service.
• Solid understanding of business needs and customer focus beyond the technical/technology aspects.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
