About The Role

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Risk & Compliance, the QA & Compliance Manager has two main accountabilities namely leading the QA team including ensuring the adequacy of the QA framework, and overseeing compliance across the business.

Day to day responsibilities:

Compliance:

• Implement and promote BizCover’s risk and compliance policies and practices
• Monitor and ensure compliance and QA frameworks are current and adequate

• Working closely with the operation providing guidance and support to establish and maintain consistency in the delivery of the food & beverage including pre opening.
• Develop menus and collaborate with the culinary team on site to ensure the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests ensuring the food offering is unique to the property.
• Provide training to the team, ensuring they are proficient in service techniques, product knowledge, and safety procedures.
• Monitor and control costs, including food and beverage inventory, and other operational expenses, to maximise profitability without compromising quality and guest service.
• Engage with suppliers to source and select products, negotiate contracts, and ensure that quality and price standards are met.
• Continuously evaluate guest feedback and implement improvement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience.

About you

You will have a deep understanding of the Food and Beverage and Hotel industry, with previous experience in a senior position. Ideally, in leading a food and beverage establishment or hotel.

You will have a collaborative working style, be highly organised and be detail oriented. There will be a strong emphasis on continuous improvement to ensure and maintain the highest quality and distinctive service, fostering an engaged, skilled and motivated team.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive revenue growth.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, and Food Safety certificate.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our culinary team, reporting to our General Manager Food and Beverage, to lead the culinary operation of our luxury resort and lodge.

This role will draw on your culinary flare and hospitality knowledge. Opening to the public in mid-2025, this role will be instrumental in the concept and creation and lead of the food offering. This is a fun and truly unique opportunity.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of a unique menu, ensuring high quality and guest satisfaction.
• Maintaining levels of stock and inventory; ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked with quality ingredients that reflect 'the place'.
• Full operational lead including mentoring, guiding and supporting the team operation.
• Engage with guests, addressing any feedback or incorporating any feedback.
• Compliance with HACCP and implementation of food hygiene practices.

About you

Successful candidates must have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with experience leading a fast-paced culinary environment.
