Purpose of your role 

As a Senior Support Engineer you will be accountable for all escalations within the Support team. You will act as a technical expert for platforms and systems which fall under the SupportOps remit, ensuring requests are dealt with efficiently and with a high level of service. You will be the second point of contact for any technology incidents and be accountable for system support and remediation. You will also help to draft knowledge base articles and contribute to the upskilling of the wider team.

Working as part of a global Service Desk team to ensure smooth operations of our systems globally, this role will be heavily involved in the Incident, Problem and Fault management process for when things aren’t operating smoothly. Success in this role will rely on strong troubleshooting and investigation skills, a deep understanding of level 1, level 2 and Desktop support, experience with ITIL frameworks (certification preferable) and a commitment to best practice.

What you do

• Play a key role in a global Service Desk team, taking ownership for the Service Desk during the allocated time in the 24-hour schedule.
• Take ownership of major incidents and issues, seeing them through from start to finish.
• Provide technical support to the global Support team, and action all escalated issues and major incidents.
• Perform troubleshooting and investigations for more difficult issues as an escalation point and working with other teams or externally with vendors where appropriate.
• Participate in Fault/Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Resolution and Root Cause Analysis of IT Systems.
• Maintain Core Business Systems in a proactive manner, ensuring systems are available, reliable and secure, though proactive monitoring and tasks.
• Work with the IT Operations Team to perform regular maintenance and patching of systems and devices.
• Participate when required in the planning, execution and delivery of key technology initiatives.
• Lead by example by using consistent, open and transparent .communication across teams
• Acts as a positive advocate for the team.

About the Role (your why)  

 The Senior Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining applications software. This role involves approximately one third of the employee's time spent writing code/programming.

• Leading Development teams, including planning, controlling and reporting on progress.
• Designing, coding, testing and installing applications programs either in one major language or in a range of programs across multiple platforms.
• Developing solution operating and system documentation.
• Working with team members & users to evaluate applications requirements.
• Ensuring that systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieving necessary design and systems security standards.
• Overseeing the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for enterprise or end user applications.
• Completing documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Monitoring the performance and availability of systems hardware and software.
• Installing, testing and maintaining new or modified systems software.
• Analysing and rectifying operating systems problems

What you’ll bring  

• Expert knowledge of various software and performance monitoring techniques. Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
• 7 + years in Software Development, with at least 3 years in a large IT site.
• Advanced skills in one or more of the major programming languages (either 'legacy' or 'hot') such as Reactjs, JavaScript, .Net, C#, PowerShell, and SQL development tools.
• Advanced skills and knowledge of one Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate) and Sharepoint etc.
• Ability to understand the essential needs of Users and meet these in welldesigned programs.
• Good skills in time and resource management. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer relationship building and management skills. Effective presentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.

As a Sales Executive you will be responsible for supporting the Sales team in Corporate Subscriptions by handling new business enquiries & assisting with the renewals for currently held corporate digital & print subscriptions (identifying upsell opportunities). You will also be responsible for developing sales proposals, producing usage reports for clients and identifying new business opportunities.

Day to day you will:

• Close new business deals/ acquire new accounts. Handle all stages of the sales process from lead to conversion
• Renew the existing client base, identify and convert upsell opportunities (Enterprise, Site, Team & Print)
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on existing client base and personal new business pipeline
• Support the Sales Manager with the coordination of team operations
• Attend customer related events to help build customer relationships
• Be responsible for the hygiene and management of the Salesforce data set
• Further develop a knowledge of subscription products within your portfolio with a key focus on enterprise clients
• Provide effective, timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries
