We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Health and Safety Manager to join our team based in the Sodexo Head Office working within the E&R Mining Sector and reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager. This Permanent role requires site travel to the Pilbara region. 

You will work closely with operations and our client to assist with the management of HSE objectives, strategies and accountabilities. You will schedule HSE functions to support operations and act as a point of contact for operational and business departments.  

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Develop and execute health and safety plans 

• Prepare and enforce policies to drive culture of health and safety 

• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence 

• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention 

• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations 

• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and work with IM platform 

• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures 

• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics

We’re looking for someone who will provide continual improvement by driving strategies and initiatives to prevent workplace incidents.  

To be successful, you’ll need:  

• Australian citizenship or full Australian working rights  

• Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing  

• 2 years’ experience in the safety industry or similar discipline  

• Minimum Certificate 4 Health & Safety 

• A current WA Manual Driver's license  

• Understanding of legal health and safety guidelines 

• Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies 

• Excellent organizational and motivational skills 

• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability 

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Minderoo Pictures you will actively contribute to a high-performing team, facilitating and coordinating a range of critical tasks and projects in support of Minderoo Pictures.  Working productively and efficiently, collaborating closely with other Focus & Enabler areas and Corporate Services as part of our matrix structure across and championing our One Minderoo Culture.  Focusing where applicable on partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries to execute a content strategy aligned with Minderoo’s strategic goals.

As Coordinator, Minderoo Pictures you will provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Executive Director & Development Producer in the management of Minderoo Picture's diverse slate of film projects. You will also assist in the development of longer-term processes and systems that will build Minderoo Pictures capacity as its slate develops and grows.  

• Work with the ED and Development Producer to manage unsolicited project proposals and recommend projects that merit further consideration by Minderoo Pictures.
• Management of Good Grants software. 
• Assist with preparation of materials for Minderoo Pictures Jury consideration. 
• Develop systems and processes to assist in the management of Minderoo Pictures production pipeline, including an up-to-date project tracking database, and an industry contacts database  
• Undertake industry research as directed, to assist Minderoo Pictures' strategic planning, project assessment and portfolio development;
• Work with Development Producer to oversee deliverables for projects in development and production 
• Oversee accounts processing; 
• Coordination of travel and meetings, and preparation of briefing notes agendas and presentations.
• Support stakeholder engagement and impact activities across the MP portfolio.

• Interface with the Advocacy & Engagement team to share key milestones, understand deliverables, and channel of communication.

Searching for Sampler to be part of the Team in Newcastle. This will be on a casual basis and training will be provided for the right candidate.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

• Assist leading hand in daily activities.
• Ensure operations are performed in accordance with instructions.
• Carry out routine clerical functions in respect to time sheets, shift reports and job records.
• Manual Sampling of trains, ships, stock-piles/ stopped belts.
• Operate Mechanical sampling systems.

Due to increased growth and the implementation of a new payroll system we’re looking for a Workforce Scheduler to join the Sodexo team on a Fixed Term 12 Month Contract & a Fixed Term 5 Month Contract. This role will be working Monday to Friday in our head office in Balcatta with flexibility to work from home once a week. 

Reporting into the Workforce Scheduling Lead, this position is responsible for effectively sourcing labour from our contingency and agency relief pools to meet staffing demands across our WA sites.
