• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers and our Verticals team to ensure features deliver the right customer value and outcomes
• Translate business objectives into actionable product specifications and requirements  
• Work directly within a delivery squad, and ensure the team are working on the most valuable items through a prioritised product backlog

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

As the Head of Product, Presentations & Whiteboards, you'll be joining the team behind our core doc types and editing products - the Design Experience Supergroup. You'll be leading the vision and strategy for the largest groups within our Visual Productivity Suite - Presentations & Whiteboards.

You'd be responsible for an area that is critical to Canva's foundational goals - Presentations now contributes 31.6% to Canva MAU, with 55 million monthly active users, and Whiteboards is sitting at 8.8 million MAU with an all-time high retention rate.
You'll play a pivotal role as we scale Canva's Productivity Suite to become an even more robust Collaboration SaaS platform that is used and loved by every individual and team around the world. You'll also play a core part of our B2B strategy as we enable visual communication for everyone, from SMBs to Enterprises. 

Although this suite of products is already known and loved by Canva users around the world, the Presentations & Whiteboards Group is, in many ways, a 0 to 1 exercise for a few reasons. Firstly, this group has been made up of multiple streams and will require a leader who can bring a unified product vision to inspire the teams behind these critical product surfaces. Secondly, Canva is a fast-moving company, and the formation of this new group will also mean driving the organisational direction after some key changes to our product org.

As Head of Product, you will lead the teams forming into a cohesive group and creating a new vision for the Group to unite behind. You will be a key owner of our doc types within our Enterprise strategies, and rally the efforts of teams across the company to execute on these strategies to bring our Productivity Suite to life.

You'll also play a critical leadership role in the Design Experience Supergroup (the core of Canva's product experience), but your impact will be felt right across Canva. In addition to supporting the Supergroup Lead, you will also share your product management craft expertise cross-functionally to empower the ~30 Product Managers and broader collaborating teams/functions within Design Experience.

Finally, you'll play a key role in driving forward the overall Product Management specialty at Canva by adding strength to our functional leadership team.

What you’ll do (responsibilities)

• Build a world-class productivity suite at Canva by creating a vision and defining the future roadmap for Docs & Whiteboards - two highly integrated products in our overall Productivity Suite + Visual Communication Platform.
• You will own the strategy and roadmap for your area, in close partnership with the Supergroup Lead, Engineering and Design counterparts to deliver an amazing experience for 175M+ users.
• Build a great team: You will manage and lead a group of Product Managers working in the Design Experience Supergroup to deliver against our bold Enterprise & AI-powered productivity goals & drive engagement on Canva.
• As someone who enjoys leading a team of amazing people to ship innovative solutions - and can point to an impressive record of doing so - you'll apply your expertise by continuing to bring world-class talent into this growing team.
• You’re a strong communicator - can speak the language of engineering, data, design, operations and can coordinate cross-functionally with each to achieve big wins.
• You're someone who can generate insight based on vision, data and user feedback, clearly define a direction for a team and then execute in a fast-paced environment to deliver customer value and delightful experiences.

You're probably a match if you have: 

• 10+ years experience as a product manager of SaaS software products. Experience working on enterprise-grade products, Collaboration or Editing Tools is a huge plus.
• 5+ years in product leadership roles managing high performing product people (ideally as a Head of Product or similar role)
• You love building products for enterprises and large organizations, and have relevant experience in high-growth companies with an international presence.
• Proven track record of launching successful products customers love, ideally with a strong understanding and point of view on the industry's common practices around generative AI & Collaboration SaaS.
• You care deeply about your coachees and have a growth mindset that enables you to develop yourself while also developing others.
• You are a visionary, who loves to jam on crazy big goals. You have a proactive approach through initiating, owning & driving work from start to finish. You identify the opportunities where you can make the largest impact, and you see it through.
