The Senior Product Manager - Data & AI will deliver new data products to bring these principles to life into all parts of our business including merchandising, operations and support functions across retail and hotels. Working in conjunction with our data science, analytics and technology teams you will develop the roadmap for your product and lead a squad (or number of squads) to deliver the roadmap

This opportunity specifically sits within our Merchandising and Marketing product portfolio and manages our AI product suite supporting our localised range and space mission; where we seek to enable a local range for every customer experience across the country, while balancing organisational and brand outcomes. As a newer mission, this role expects experience in leading from discovery to execution across a wide range of stakeholders and a complex organisational environment. The candidate should expect and be capable to provide direct transparency to executive leadership as well as our partners and retail customers.

• Lead the strategic design of your Products to deliver meaningful value to our business and our customers; balancing short and long term benefits
• Design and deliver against your agile roadmaps in partnership with business stakeholders and customers to create measurable value.

What you can expect in the role:

• Collaborate alongside experienced PMs, senior engineers and savvy marketers to ideate, spec, design and implement beautiful solutions that change how people think about food.
• Design world class customer experiences that anyone can use that adhere to first principles and GYG values.
• Plan customer research including conducting and synthesising research into actionable insights.
• Design world class tools that supercharge our operations, spanning across the whole business from restaurant ops to customer service.
• Design for both our consumer and business users working across our core touch points, designing end to end journeys from discovery to execution on Android, iOS and web as well as internal platforms.

• Launch, analyze and iterate on designs based on tight feedback loops with customers and your teams.
• Contribute to developing a robust design system to enable rapid iteration

You’ll enjoy this role if you have:

• Product Design experience shipping consumer-facing products and apps that people love.
• Experience working in a start-up and scale-up environment
• Experience conducting research including qualitative and quantitive methodologies.
• Strong user empathy without bias. Able to put yourself into the shoes of our users.
• Proficiency designing across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Desktop, Mobile Web).
• Experience in having worked in or closely with a Design System.
• You’re able to make near-term tradeoffs and shortcut traditional design processes to get something out the door quickly, whilst keeping in mind how we can evolve the design over time.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and communicate the reasoning behind each of your design decisions.

As a Time & Attendance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our workforce operations and compliance processes. You will oversee rostering, timecard management, and compliance reporting, working closely with various teams including Operations, People Experience, Payroll, and our Tanda account management. Your responsibilities will include:

Processing & Compliance:

• Ensure timely approval of all timecards and resolve any errors.
• Collaborate with the Operations and Payroll teams to rectify time-related issues.
• Monitor rostering and time compliance, addressing identified shortfalls.
• Stay updated on industrial instruments and legislation, applying this knowledge as needed.

Reporting & System Administration:

• Develop and distribute workforce operations and compliance reports.
• Enhance labor management processes through regular reporting.
• Implement system improvements and configurations, ensuring they meet business requirements.
• Manage system incidents and integrations, and oversee training for new restaurant setups.

Coaching & Collaboration:

• Identify ongoing training needs and provide guidance to the Operations Team.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships to align objectives and improve rostering practices.
• Collaborate with the PX and Payroll teams on compliance requirements and process changes.
• Work closely with Tanda to prioritize system improvements aligned with GYG's goals.
   

We're looking for someone with:

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, or related field
• Previous experience with Rostering, Time & Attendance systems as a superuser
• Experience with Tanda would be ideal but not essential 
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and achieve position outcomes with stakeholders at all levels
• Attention to detail
