Our Port Kembla Springhill Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator in our Coupled Pickled Cold Mill (CPCM) – Roll Shop Maintenance Team based in Port Kembla. The CPCM Roll Shop is a dedicated department responsible for maintaining rollers and side trimming blades used at our CPCM which is used to further process rolled steel. These rollers, ranging from 200kg to 25t, experience wear and tear and have a challenging life. Therefore, it is crucial to prioritise the maintenance of these rollers and surrounding equipment to ensure ongoing steel production.

This opportunity combines both your hands-on mechanical skills with your technical expertise to coordinate key outcomes in maintaining and developing equipment in the Roll Shop. You will also implement and enhance our maintenance strategies to achieve optimal equipment performance and reduce failures, all while championing a safety-first culture.

Here at EACH we are looking for a Care Co-ordinator to join our Care Finder program which aims to provide specialist and intensive assistance to help people in the Care Finder target population groups to understand and access aged care services and connect with other relevant supports in the community.

• Part-time (0.8FTE) max-term position until June 2025

The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Plate Mill team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as an Electrical Maintenance Coordinator. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

In this business-critical role, you will coordinate and execute routine maintenance work and attend to plant electrical challenges, while also coordinating trade personnel and contractors to deliver a cost-effective, quality focused and flexible maintenance function to the Plate Mill department.

What Will You Do?

As the electrical maintenance coordinator, you will:

• supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenance
• coordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the section
• coach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actions
• participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects
• respond to the day-to-day electrical availability and reliability issues

More About You

As an experienced electrical maintenance coordinator, you will have sound leadership experience, work effectively in cross-functional groups, and thrive in a team environment. You will also have:

• electrical trade qualifications, or an advanced diploma in electrical engineering
• experience working with AC and DC motor drives
• experience with PLC Systems and drives
• demonstrated leadership experience
• experience in a heavy industrial environment
