What you’ll do

Our Service Desk Agent’s are the first point of contact for our clients. About the Role

Based at Darwin Terminal, the Service Operator Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of guest cabins, lounge and restaurant carriages on-train and public areas off-train. The role will provide support to the Service Operations team through coaching and training initiatives and work in partnership with the Terminal Manager. This is a guest facing role.

The key responsibilities include:

• Conduct daily briefings with the staff to keep them abreast of day-to-day requirements such as train turn-arounds, deep cleaning and areas requiring special attention
• Supervise the work environment as the teamwork in line with the desired instruction and systems that are in place
• Prepare cleaning schedules for the return of all carriage cabins, lounge and restaurant carriages from rolling stock operations, ensuring the team operating rhythm is planned and organised

About the Role: 

In this role, you support a broad team of staff responsible for the maintenance, repair and incident response of critical services and systems covering Electrical, Mechanical and Fire. The Service Technician – Shift Team role will be the first to respond to alerts and alarms, assign the severity, prioritise the rectification and determine whether escalation is required to third party contractors.

Shift team members will proactively perform inspections to ensure all critical infrastructure is operating as designed and identify any possible risk to the infrastructure and buildings. The position will monitor the critical infrastructure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and be able to make quick decisions on prioritisations and escalations based on their experience. The shift team assists with the monitoring of all contractors conducting critical work and ensures strict adherence to processes and procedures.

Other responsibilities include:

• Promptly responding to service requests and emergency faults.
• Conduct initial fault finding, determine causes, and implement remedies.
• Communicate repair timelines with internal teams for coordinated client communications.
• Perform critical switching to prevent disruptions in case of equipment failure.
• Ensure timely completion of planned maintenance, daily site reviews, and adherence to safety policies.

 About You: 

We are looking for a passionate person who has a trade or tertiary qualification in relevant fields (Electrical, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Fire, Telecommunications).

• Proven experience/ exposure in trade or critical facilities.
• Prior experience in critical infrastructure environments with adherence to strict procedures.
• Experience operating Building Management Systems (BMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Exposure to data center equipment, including CRAC units, UPS, generators, and fire systems.
• Demonstrated skills in managing critical infrastructure, utilizing electronic monitoring systems, fault-finding, and contributing to process improvements.

Please note: this position works on a rotational 12hr shift roster (2 days, 2 nights – 4 off)

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience working in call centre or internal sales environments (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in phone sales and converting enquiries into sales
• Capable of working with multiple web-based data-bases and email programs. Experience in Microsoft suite is desirable.

The Service Delivery Manager role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction is high by providing quality services delivered to customers in accordance with contracts. This role provides a single point of contact for clients in relation to the provision of contracted services and is responsible for aligning the customers’ requirements and expectations with Datacom’s service levels.

About the Role (your why)

Our Customer Delivery team is the part of the business where you can influence internally within our delivery teams and work closely with the customer to meet their business requirements. You can be proactive, innovative and look at ways to improve people’s lives through technology.

As Service Delivery Coordinator, you will play a key part in ensuring that all contracted services are delivered to clients in accordance with contracts. The Service Delivery Coordinator provides a single point of contact for customers in relation to the provision of contracted services and is responsible for aligning the customers’ requirements and expectations with Datacom’s service levels. You will support customers end to end, as well as work in conjunction with the Service Delivery Managers to provide support for Datacom’s larger customer base.

This role is Canberra based and due to customer requirements, you will need to be an Australian Citizen with a Baseline Government Security Clearance.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication and your customer relationship building and management skills will be second to none. Project management experience or exposure would be a huge advantage.
