About the role

We are currently looking for a HR professional to join our innovative team as a Human Resource Advisor supporting our luxury resort and lodge. Opening to the public in mid-2025, we are seeking a dynamic professional who will partner with the business to provide exceptional HR support, guidance and leadership across the hotel operations. This role will work collaboratively with the broader Human Resource team and in particular, the team in the Rail business.

About you

You will be a savvy, commercial and practiced professional with experience, in developing high-quality HR solutions that will enable the hotel to deliver on its key commercial drivers.

You will be responsible for the delivery of key projects and managing the day-to-day HR operations with the support of the Human Resource Manager.

We need a resilient all-rounder who is looking to grow and develop. This role will be a hybrid role with at least 3 days per week based in Monarto, South Australia. Your tasks will range from recruitment, particularly for pre-opening, coaching and mentoring of people leaders and learning and development. A degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred while not essential. Hotel experience or/and tourism experience is also advantageous.

Monthly Reporting 

• Finance and accounting operations and reporting including:
  • Monthly revenue reporting and variance analysis to forecast
  • Monthly Management account reports and variance analysis to forecast
  • Business Development reporting
  • Other adhoc reporting required
• Ensure day to day finance and accounting operations for business are carried out efficiently and effectively
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the results and activities of the cost centres.  Plan to improve and maintain financial information to ensure the accounts are prepared on a consistent basis and in line with best practice.
• Submit reports on a monthly basis for inclusion in regional/ group reports, debtor days report and cash flow forecast.
• Provide quality review of reports before submitted to Group Finance.
• Communicate to the management team trading results, significant variances as necessary.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, and ensuring all intercompany accounts have been fully reconciled and underlying accounting records agree to reported information (to an audit standard).

Management Information 

• Review key management information to ensure accuracy and robustness of underlying information.
• Provide and develop best practice use of Microsoft D365 in the business including projects ledger, project profitability and timesheet compliance.

Quarterly/ Half Year and Year End Reporting

• Ensure that appropriate procedures and policies are in place for the calculation of work-in-progress where required for accurate reporting of results.

Budget and Forecast 

• Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Review budget and forecast information to ensure that all finance knowledge is incorporated, that it is appropriately prepared and to provide challenge to budget holders.  
• Review all budgets and forecasts for consistency of data, method of preparation and understanding of assumptions.  Manage rectification of all quality of preparation issues. 

Balance Sheet 

• Monthly reconciliations of sub-contractor accruals and contractor accruals

Tapping into your demonstrated strong leadership skills, this role will ensure our resources are allocated and used effectively - balancing efficient workload prioritisation and delivery within agreed timeframes.

The role will give you a chance to identify areas for improvement and prioritise those improvements by reference to risk and bring innovative ideas on how to better manage ML/TF risk both internal and external to the business.

This is a great opportunity with exposure to the senior leadership and EXCO Team at Entain, where you will support our AML/CTF Compliance Officer in the continuous improvement of our AML/CTF Program and Procedures.

Your day-to-day...

• Overseeing and guiding the team to ensure that goals and objectives are established, and performance is monitored and optimised.
• Identifying and assessing any changes in our AML/CTF risk profile and raising those matters with the AML/CTF Compliance Officer and Chief Compliance and Regulatory Officer with proposed solutions to mitigate and manage risk.
• Continuous improvement of our programs and procedures by reference to our ML/TF risk assessment, including for example, new or improved controls, improvements to initial and ongoing customer due diligence, or other initiatives designed to reduce ML/TF risk.
• Ensuring resources are allocated and used effectively while balancing efficient workload prioritisation and delivery within agreed time frames.
• Maintaining and updating the AML/CTF Program and Procedures documentation and ensuring changes are adopted and understood by relevant internal AML/CTF team leaders and members.

What you’ll bring...

• You have previously successfully managed a team and have supported broader FCR teams by providing mentoring and training.
• Proven experience in similar roles where you have honed skills in Strategic Analysis, Project Management and Planning of multiples streams of work.
• Strong and effective communication, relationship building, stakeholder analysis, conflict resolution, and change management skills.
• You have a deep understanding of AML/CTF obligations (as they apply to the gambling industry would be very advantageous).
