About The Role:

As a Senior Systems Support Analyst you will provide support for assigned production-related systems for major banking and payments clients. This role could be based in Sydney or Melbourne and will see you working within the local Application Support Group and collaborating with global colleagues you will also:

• Provide on-call support for HP Non-Stop Systems and proprietary applications

• Develop and execute scripts and test plans

• Conduct software analysis related to debugging, resolving issues and modifications

• Liaise with internal clients, vendors and global colleagues to resolve issues and deliver results

• Providing rostered on-call 24/7 support to clients (around 1 week per month)

What You Will Need:

• HP Non Stop systems experience is essential for this role

• Previous experience in a Systems Support role with sound experience in programming languages and application development methodologies

• Ability to understand in-house applications

• Knowledge and experience with primary database engines with demonstrated ability to write complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting

• Experience with a wide range of interface design, development and debugging tools, techniques and methodologies

• Knowledge of testing tools and quality control requirements

We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst – Financial Planning &  Analysis to join the BWS Finance team. The primary purpose of the Senior Finance Analyst role is to  play an integral role in the annual budget process and monthly forecast cycles, whilst creating  analysis and tracking of performance, and maintaining the integrity of the financial data that the  business uses to make key commercial decisions.

• Improve team ways of working by introducing innovative analysis, systems efficiencies, improving processes and providing constructive challenge to all areas 
• Deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations including ownership of the  monthly BWS performance pack, and input into Endeavour reporting cycle 
• Work with FP&A Manager and the wider finance team to ensure consistent rhythm in place for  weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly deliverables 
• Assessment of risks and opportunities against financial targets and provide recommendations  for mitigating actions 
• Provide leadership in financial control with management of month end close, posting of  relevant month end journals and coordination with FSS-A (shared services team) on balance  sheet reviews 
• Work closely with colleagues to identify key performance issues and propose solutions • Management of National / overhead costs 
• Working capital analysis and the management of associated improvement initiatives • A key point of contact for Endeavour Finance team
• Support the preparation and submission of the annual budget and forecast, including ensuring  they are understood and owned 
• Working with key stakeholders to ascertain sales, profit, inventory and cost control measures  and resource requirements 
• Managing costs against budget/targets and assisting key stakeholders to monitor  budgets/targets at all levels

Purpose of your role

This role is an integral part of the Group Finance team responsible for providing financial reporting and insights for the business. Focus areas of this role include partnering with members of our Group Executive team to prepare and provide financial results analysis and insights, enabling excellence in business performance of each respective function.  You will also collaborate closely with our Group Financial Controllership team on month-end and year-end financial reporting and you will manage the budgeting and forecasting process for your key Group functions.

What you do

• Partner with members of the Group Executive team to provide ongoing financial reporting and analytical support through delivery of regular functional performance reporting, key insights and ad hoc analysis
• Manage the month end process for allocated functions including ensuring that financial results are accurate, and reports are released with detailed insights on performance against expectations
• Lead the forecasting and budgeting process for allocated functions, ensuring the accuracy and critical analysis of all inputs and outputs, including timely communication with all stakeholders throughout the process
• Assist with the development of ad-hoc business cases supporting investment opportunities
• Assist the wider business in understanding performance drivers, performance against expectations and developing insights to assist key stakeholders in making informed decisions
• Identify and implement continuous improvements across finance processes including leveraging technology to enhance reporting capabilities, planning, and month end process
