About the Job

This role will contribute to managing financial crime risks and regulatory compliance obligations at Rest. It entails triaging, investigating and resolving any unusual behaviour relating to financial crime including Anti-Money Laundering/ Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Sanctions, Fraud, Scams, Bribery and Corruption. 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities 

• Investigate, resolve and respond to financial crime escalations received from the fund administrator or across Rest (i.e. Transaction Monitoring, Name Screening, ATO SuperMatch and UARs)
• Gather and record required evidence to support any reasonable grounds for suspicion of money laundering, organised crime or terrorism financing activities and articulate key recommendations
• Escalate potential regulatory reporting matters and potential breaches (as required) to the AML/CTF Compliance officer
• Maintain a current understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing typologies and fraud trends, including regulations, industry best practice, criminal typologies and developing trends
• Deliver financial crime training and education on the identification and reporting of unusual activity
• Manage financial crime enquiries and escalations
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships
• Identify, manage and deliver continuous improvement opportunities across financial crime.

• Prioritize and manage workflows to ensure tasks meet client-focused deadlines and service levels. 

• Provide exceptional customer service using strong communication and negotiation skills. 

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability. 

• Perform regular server backups, upgrades, and patching as per security and operational requirements. 

• Monitor server health and proactively address potential issues to maintain uptime. 
  Implement and oversee security measures to protect server environments and data integrity. 

• Provide training on desktop environments and applications to end-users as required. 

• Offer Tier 2/3 technical support, including diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues. 

• Configure, install, monitor, and support ICT environments with technical expertise. 

• Administer and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure components including Cloud services, VMware Clusters, M365, AD Services, ITIL, MS Exchange, and other core platforms 

• Manage and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and email gateway defenses (e.g., Barracuda, Microsoft Defender). 

• Setup and manage IT equipment, including laptops, printers, and network switches. 

• Develop and maintain ICT documentation, including knowledgebase articles, work instructions, policies, and operational procedures. 

• Conduct regular system reviews and generate efficiency reports with actionable insights. 

• Deploying and managing the 3CX phone systems/servers. 

• Offer on-site and remote operational support to client sites as required. 

An exciting opportunity in the Use Cases team has become available within our National Data and Analytics (NDA) department of ALDI stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time position.

As a Business Data Analyst specialising in data modelling, you will be involved in the development of national use cases and their associated impact measurement. You will leverage data analysis for actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and proficiently conduct A/B tests to optimise product or service implementations.

What does the role look like?

• Contribute to predictive models and conduct comprehensive data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, using statistical techniques to inform strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data analytics use cases that align with organisational goals and strategic priorities
• Develop detailed use case documentation, including objectives, scope, success criteria, and implementation roadmap
• Work closely with data scientists and engineers to translate use case requirements into technical specifications and data models
• Provide expert guidance and advisory to internal teams and business stakeholders on data analytics strategies and initiatives
• Design and execute A/B tests, assess the impact of change to products, and use statistical techniques to analyse results to identify significant insights and assist in decision making
