About the Role
Join our team as an Associate Nurse Manager – Clinical Lead in our Adult Emergency Department, on an ongoing Full-time basis to work at Monash Medical Centre based at Clayton. The Associate Nurse Manager- Clinical Lead works closely with the Adult Nurse Manager, providing clinical leadership to ensure the provision of safe and effective care and efficient management of the Adult Emergency Department. The role will assist and support staff to manage patient flow within the Emergency Department to optimise timeliness of care, the National Emergency Access Target (NEAT) and achievement of organisational targets. The Associate Nurse Manager- Clinical Lead is responsible for supporting the management of specific portfolios including but not limited to;
Clinical support and education
Roster and leave management
Support services Co-ordination
Staff performance review and development (Grade 2 Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses)
Quality and safety
Emergency management and occupational health and safety
Daily operational performance / support
This role will work clinical shifts within the Emergency Department as required.
This is a Monday – Friday role.
About Us
The Clayton Adult Emergency Department provides tertiary emergency services for adult patients across Southeast Melbourne and surrounding regional areas. The Department is responsible for over 60,000 emergency department presentations annually. Once fully commissioned, the adult emergency department will have 75 treatment spaces, including six resuscitation cubicles, eight isolation rooms and a 20-bed adult short stay unit.
There is also a purpose-built Mental Health and Other Drugs (MHAOD) hub, which includes six dedicated cubicles, interview, and sensory rooms to provide an optimal environment to assess and manage patients presenting with behavioural health needs. The Adult Emergency department sees presentations requiring tertiary level care for Neurosurgery and Stroke services and also includes a diverse range of specialist support services onsite.
About You
You are dedicated, driven and a leader in Adult Emergency Nursing.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
Demonstrated leadership and senior nursing experience within and Emergency Department. Associate Nurse Manager experience required.
Post graduate Qualification in Emergency Nursing or Leadership and Management (or working towards) is desirable
AHPRA Registration to practice Independently as a Registered Nurse
The role requires commencement within the next 3 months.
