Data is at the centre of our approach - helping clients to get a better understanding of their customers and deliver insights that influence top-level decision-making. From there, we develop digital products and integrate data and technology solutions that grow audiences and revenue across ticketing, participation, sponsorship and media.

As part of our ongoing growth, we are expanding our product team and looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Melbourne office. We are looking for a great communicator and collaborator with experience working in Agile teams to deliver world-class digital products for our sporting clients.

You will be client facing and work as part of a cross functional team including designers, product managers, technologists and quality assurance engineers. The types of projects are varied, from websites and apps to marketing and data-focused products.

You will typically work in one of two phases:

- Discovery: helping our clients shape large digital products and technology projects, understanding the scope, technology and delivery approach, as well as the business case and rationale for investment. The nature of these projects varies significantly depending on the product, technology and client, but they always require a curious and diligent mindset, and a focus on ensuring we are bringing clarity to complex opportunities.

- Delivery: working as part of a team to build and deploy products for our clients. In this type of project, you will typically be responsible for running workshops and creating documentation and user stories ready for development. You will also be working closely with the engineers and testers to ensure the work delivered aligns with expectations.

This role requires an individual who brings energy, pragmatism and critical thinking to our clients, and you will also need to have a relentless focus on where client and customer value is. The role is hybrid remote, with two days per week in our office (located in Melbourne Central Tower) or at client offices desirable.

• A good level of experience in a business analysis role, with previous experience ideally in an agency/consulting context.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, and directly with clients.
• Experience in utilising and implementing core digital technologies including CMS, CRM, VMS, data warehouse & middleware systems.
• A passion for digital products and technology, strong problem-solving skills with a flair for finding innovative solutions.
• Competent in utilising documentation and diagramming tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Lucidchart / VIsio.
• A working knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG, and experience including specific accessibility requirements in user stories, would be beneficial. 
• Experience in viewing, querying and analysing data using tools such as Azure Data Studio, Power BI and Postman.
• Ability to quickly break down big blocks of product and functionality into the required, outcome-based user stories.
• Ability to switch gears quickly as you continuously engage with business representatives, executives, project managers, designers, developers and QA resources.
• A curious and analytical mindset that makes you a great problem solver.
• A keen interest in sport or the sports business and real interest in the positive effects we have on our client’s businesses.

• Provide structured and proactive support to Senior Leadership to prepare for future bids by equipping client teams to position, demonstrate value and understand and formalise pursuit of future opportunities, through research, coaching and competitor analysis.
• Actively contribute to strategic bid planning including positioning, go/no go, win theme development, storyboarding, strategic review and feedback/lessons learnt.
• Analyse, coordinate, write and develop comprehensive PQQ/RFT/RFP response’s incorporating the requirements of specifications, within strict timescales
• Review and amend draft bids, considering feedback from Peers, Directors and Bid Manager.
• Coordinate and incorporate input from bid partners, directors, technical experts and wider team as necessary, to ensure a consistent and coherent final bid against scoring criteria
• Ensure bids are submitted for review for internal quality assurance and governance processes
• Following submission of bids, extract key information from tender and manage information in-line with information management processes and following internal feedback analysis processes
• Analysing pipeline and opportunities to understand and report on trends
• Support best practice training on best practice bid process, structure and quality
• Support Business Development with any other activity as required
