This very modern 24,000 head facility serves a key role in the Teys Australia supply chain producing quality beef for the domestic and short-fed export markets.

A state-of-the-art facility to host many of these sports, together with harness racing is the centre piece of the town.
Charlton is located just 60mins from Bendigo, one of Victoria's largest rural cities, with many smaller towns to explore in the district.
About the Role
We are looking for Machinery Operators to join our Feeding and Pen Cleaning teams at our Charlton Feedlot, Victoria.
As part of our feeds team, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Feedlot and maintain a high standard and timely delivery of commodities and feeding rations to cattle.
Part of the job will also include:
• Operation of modern feeding machinery and farm equipment
• Plant maintenance and hygiene
You will be a multi-skilled individual who has a genuine willingness to learn, interest in mechanical equipment and a good attention to detail while enjoying a variety of tasks and challenges.
About You
Along with a “can do” attitude your skills and experience include:
• Full working rights in Australia
• No experience necessary
• Ability to carry out manual maintenance tasks and operate machinery
• Problem-solving skills
• Computer skills
• Ability to follow safe work practices
• Commitment to working in a quality control environment
• Enjoy working in a team, as well as on your own
• Commitment to ensuring animal welfare and husbandry standards are upheld
• Willingness to undertake required training and licensing
• Ability to work a roster system
• Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test
• Be Q-fever vaccinated (or willingness to get)
What’s in it for You?
As a full-time, permanent employee on our feeds team you will start work at 7am and finish at approximately 4pm, on a roster of 10 days on and 4 days off (every Friday or Monday off and every second weekend).
• Our machinery operator rates start at $30.14 per hour as per our Teys Australia Charlton Pty Ltd Feedlot Enterprise Agreement 2015
• Roles will commence in August 2024 and long-term work will be available for a period of between 12 months and 4 years
