About the Role:
As the S&OP Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and governing group-wide demand and supply planning and forecasting models. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Operations Planning, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of key objectives and uphold a high standard of service to the sales, operations, and finance teams.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in supply chain or analytics to broaden their expertise in demand and supply planning, while driving process improvements and facilitating commercial trade-off decisions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understand, maintain, and optimize planning models, updating calculations and creating/maintaining dashboards as needed.
- Manage stakeholders and facilitate the S&OP process across multiple teams, ensuring adherence to the timetable.
- Proactively identify and escalate risks related to planning applications.
- Follow best practice target state processes for sales and operations planning, analyzing variances to actuals.
- Facilitate the smooth transition and embedding of new models, including post-care activities such as training and user adoption.
- Create and maintain model user guides, documentation of procedural and system changes, and conduct training sessions.
- Collaborate with various business teams to establish business needs and define new data collection and analysis processes.
- Manage the delivery of a robust and transparent sales demand and operations capacity plan.
- Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement agenda by identifying and leading opportunities to enhance process efficiency.
- Accountable for maintaining relevant system data to required standards, including data validity and master data.
- Maintain system parameters, configuration, and documentation.
- Review capacity limits with Operations regularly to ensure accuracy of system outputs.
- Analyze data uploads and identify issues or outliers requiring attention.
- Provide technical and educational support to planning platform users.
- Comply with security and risk protocols as directed by TGE IT policy and procedures.
About You:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:
- Strategic thinking with the ability to provide guidance and direction.
- Building strong relationships and managing change effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage ambiguity.
- Creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Understanding of modern planning tools like Anaplan, Kinaxis, or Adaptive Planning (preferable).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications preferably in information systems or numerical discipline.
- Experience with process modeling and analysis tools.
- Proven experience in process analysis and optimization.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in S&OP activities and BI applications.
