Curl Curl FC Overall, the purpose of the role is to provide our players and coaches with an organised, fair and consistent framework for forming teams to meet our governing body (MWFA) guidelines and to meet our Clubs Coaching Philosophy which focuses on fun and fair play for all whilst offering player development of the highest standard. The overall goal of the role is to provide our local players with football opportunities that help them develop and achieve their aspirations to play at the highest level they can whilst also ensuring all our club players are provided equal opportunities for training and team placement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Player Support and Development: Organising in house youth player training programs in and out of season including designing training programs, sourcing appropriately qualified coaches and ensuring programs run to cover their own cost Team training sessions for a range of age groups from U6 to U18 Small group training sessions to provide skill development opportunities Additional football opportunities for our players including U6 Gala Days, Mini Roos “Mini World Cup” tournaments and out of season competitions. Identifying suitable external tournaments and supporting coaches/teams wishing to attend. Helping to progress our Youth players into our Senior teams, working with WPL/PL/WAL1/AL1 coaches to provide our youth players with opportunity to play at the highest level at our Club. Club Teams Directing grading approach for Mini Roos and youth teams in conjunction with Age Coordinators, Grading Manager and team coaches. Managing coach feedback/grading reports Identifying “smart” grading approach based on specific age group dynamics Grading analysis/team formation/identify appropriate division requests to support grading results to MWFA Senior Football Working with coaches of our Senior teams to provide information for planning of players development and progression from Youth to Senior men’s and women’s teams. Coach Development and Support Providing coaches support throughout the season with an agreed plan of support for those coaches choosing to engage in coach development. Maintaining ongoing relationships with Club coaches to encourage long-term involvement with the Club. About Company Curl Curl FC is a Community Football Club based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, with home ground playing fields located at Abbott Road and Adam Street, Curl Curl. Our Club is part of one of the largest Football Associations (Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA)) in the Football NSW. In the current season we have approximately 1,000 Mini Roos and Youth players forming almost 80 teams. We also have approximately 25 Seniors teams for men and women at social and more competitive levels. The Club was initially founded in 1958 as part of Curl Curl Youth Club which encompassed a number of sports in the area at that time. The Club have been a soccer club only for approximately 20 years, more recently changing our name to Curl Curl FC to represent our football activity. For the last 12 years the Club has provided additional training programs to our youth players, which have continued to grow and are now a large part of our club activities which this role will be involved in. Hours of work: Hours of work will vary at different times during the year and will include early mornings and evenings most week nights. Qualifications and Experience: Coaching Licence: Minimum FFA B Licence (or equivalent), preferred FFA A Licence (or equivalent. Also, must hold a valid Working with Children Check. Qualifications that demonstrate a strong understanding of youth development such as Education, Sport Science and Coaching Must have at least 5 years of work experience in coaching youth players, ideally in a community club and/or FNSW Representative environment in Australia and experience coaching overseas will be considered beneficial. Applicants require experience playing football, ideally at a higher level than FFA Community Football. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with ability to connect and communicate with both coaches and players at all ages and levels.
