Due to ongoing growth, Andrew Barton Laundry Systems are now looking for a Technical Service Consultant for their QLD Head Office
Based at the warehouse in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane, they are looking for an experienced, proactive Technical Service Consultant for both the equipment and parts departments to provide pre and post sales technical and implementation support to the sales team, helping maximise sales opportunities and post-purchase customer satisfaction. In addition this person will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of equipment in our company owned laundromats, therefore there is an “on the tools” element of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Liase with existing and new customers regarding technical support.
Provide technical expertise and support to assist the sales team:
* Help the Sales Team prepare presentations and proposals
* Pre-installation site visits and measure ups
* Prepare laundry designs/site plans
* Determine the costs and amounts of materials needed for electrical projects.
* Ensure designs and completed products meet specifications and regulations.
* Assemble, install, test, calibrate, modify, and repair electrical equipment and installations as needed, adhering to safety requirements.
* Install assemblies for protection relays, metering, and indicating devices in an electrical workshop setting.
* Change out contactors, electrical motors, thermistors, and thermostats.
* Assisting with research and experimentation programs
* Internal service enquiries
* Install planning and project management
* Liaising with installation contractors as required
* Equipment programming
* liaising with chemical suppliers
* Installation of cashless payment systems
* Technical training – internal and external
* Commissioning of new laundrys
* Laundry operator training
* Repair and maintenance of equipment in company owned Laundromats
* Site visits to customer site to trouble shoot issues and provide solutions.
* Repair and refurbishment of returned stock.
Provide technical support:
* Technical parts issues
* New model information & parts ordering
* Warranty Support
* Service Agent Support
* Quarantine Stock Management
* Service bulletin management
After sales technical support:
* Managing the warranty claim process
* Primary contact point for customer and service agent techncial support
* Liaise with manufacturer service team to resolve technical issues on commercial laundry equipment.
Assist service technicians as required:
* Programming machines
* Installations and commissioning
* Other work as required
* Special projects as instructed from time to time
Skills and Qualifications Required:
To be considered for this position essential is:
* Strong technical and diagnostic knowledge and ability, experience with Data and control instruments.
* IT programs used: Quantum vend, OPL and LMS programs for Laundries.
* Related trade qualification is essential Electrical Engineering Technician.
* Experience Programming Commercial and Industrial Laundry Equipment
* Experience with servicing, troubleshooting and maintaining Commercial Laundry Equipment
* Experience with coin vending mechanisms and cashless payment systems.
* Restricted electrical licence
Other experience / skills that is required:
* A confident communicator with the ability to work as part of a team
* A current full Australian Drivers Licence
* Australian Resident / Australian Work Visa
* Solid planning and organisation skills
* Technical savvy with sound computer skills
