About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Analyst that has a strong work ethic, has the ability to work individually but love being part of a team.
You enjoy good team camaraderie and have a can-do attitude. Reporting to the Storeman, you work well as an individual and collaboratively in a high-performing team in a culture that encourages you to push yourself for greater.
Responsibilities:
• Quarterly market analysis to identify trends and potential suppliers.
• Liaising with suppliers to streamline communication and identify improvement opportunities.
• Providing purchasing recommendations based on research and seasonal availability.
• Developing systems for sourcing urgent or out-of-stock products and processing special orders.
• Establishing processes for QA documentation, claims, invoice reconciliation, and assisting with supplier invoice reconciliation.
• Conducting stock analysis for ordering raw materials and finished goods.
• Providing weekly dispatch summaries and ensuring documentation review processes are in place.
• Analyzing and recommending new inventory procedures for operational efficiency.
• Improving audit and recall processes, managing frozen products, and defining guidelines for SAP item creation.
• Conducting monthly stocktakes and investigating any variances.
• Developing processes for transport invoice reconciliation, pallet control, and resolution of transport issues.
• Ensuring QA documentation from suppliers and defining claim processes for delivery issues.
• Coordinating collection with transport for optimal timing and assisting in customer invoice reconciliation.
Other Responsibilities:
Providing coaching and mentoring to individuals and teams.
Assisting in the implementation of various initiatives.
Addressing any other requests discussed by the manager.
Overall, the focus is on establishing clear processes, leveraging data insights, and continuous improvement across purchasing, inventory, logistics, and related areas.
About You:
Are you a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a passion for optimizing procurement processes and driving cost savings? We are looking for a proactive and data-driven Procurement Analyst to join our team and play a key role in supporting our procurement operations and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Qualifications:
• Degree level qualification
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or data analysis, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Experience with procurement software and systems is preferred, but not required.
