About the Role You will lead the organisational health and safety management system, safety culture and consultation. You will provide advice and technical support for health and safety matters across the diverse work areas at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. This will include
Participating in the organisation's continuous improvement program
Leading safety risk management activities
Leading incident investigations, including report and recommendations to prevent recurrence, for serious incidents
Mentoring and coaching WHS team members, managers and HSRs
Classifications for this position will range from HS4 - HS29 ($83,657 - $90,376 per annum) plus over award based on experience. Your Contribution
Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or related field
Demonstrated understanding and comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes and standards
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects at the one time
High level report writing skills
Ability and flexibility to work with a range of stakeholders and teams
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Health Safety and Wellbeing Team We are an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team with specialist consultants for WHS management system, patient manual handling, aggression prevention, wellbeing, injury management, emergency management and respiratory protection. Whilst team members have specialty fields they all work together to enhance the safety and wellbeing of those who work at and visit St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
