Melba Support Services are actively recruiting for Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in Metro.
You will work alongside an engaged, committed, and expert team to ensure the people we support lead happy and fulfilling lives.

What You’ll do
- Implement support plans based on supported persons needs, preferences and interests
- Help with all aspects of daily living from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night
- Aid people to get to their chosen activities like social events, work and appointments
- Promote personal choice and control for the person
- Assist with personal care & hygiene and household duties like cleaning, cooking, and washing
Qualifications and Experience
- A passion for enabling and working with people
- Desire for meaningful work and comfortable providing people with daily living support
- Willingness to learn new skills, undertake ongoing training
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Experience in bowel care and manual handling is required
You will also bring with you or be willing to obtain*:
- NDIS Worker screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Unrestricted Australian Driver’s License
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR

We are seeking a female support worker to assist a female individual in Prahan. This role involves providing a minimum of 3 hours of ISA support daily, as well as helping with community access and potentially SIL supports, including personal care. The individual uses an electric wheelchair in the community and is largely independent at home, though personal care is still needed. We encourage applications from candidates who can also cover on-site shifts, including overnight stays and morning support, with a commitment of at least 6 active hours plus overnight coverage.
