Primary Position Objectives:
Reporting to the Head of Communications, this newly created role requires someone with early-to-mid career commercial marketing experience. The role will focus on driving marketing campaigns and initiatives, both commercial and non-commercial (such as charity partnerships) to drive positive relations with and sales for two Andrews Meat divisions: Creative Food Solutions and Export. It requires someone with a strong, strategic mindset; an ability to engage positively with myriad stakeholders across the globe; a focus on budget and ROI; and a strong sense of timing and forward thinking. A major part of your role will be supporting and working with the sales leaders at our subsidiary business, White Stripe Foods, particularly to help drive their sales of Andrews Meats’ brands.
• Marketing campaigns: working with the Head of Communications in conjunction with the teams in our Export and Creative Food Solutions divisions, strategies, create and drive exciting campaigns to support sales, celebrate our customers and enhance our customers’ experiences when dealing with us.
• Collaborate: to ensure campaign success, you will be comfortable working closely at all times with myriad people. There are several teams internally and externally that need to be worked with in order to make sure your campaigns run smoothly, and as you build relationships with the industry you will become a trusted point of call to support our customers and partners in their marketing activities using Andrews Meat brands.
• Reporting: formally report on campaign results as a procedural practice including quantitative and qualitative data to help drive better performance and create better practices through the business.
• Social media: collecting and collating content targeting our clientele, including working with the clientele to get the content.
• Out of hours activities and travel: since you will be involved in the planning and execution of campaigns and events, some of which may be held interstate or overseas, from time to time you’ll be asked to attend exclusive events – often working with renowned chefs - outside of business hours that you will have helped to bring to life.
Role Responsibilities:
• Develop a sound understanding of the Andrews Meat business, the wider meat supply chain, our clientele bases, and the people and teams within them all.
• Create and execute a marketing campaign schedule on a Jan – Dec yearly basis in conjunction with the Export and Creative Food Solutions teams.
• Ensure all marketing material is current and up-to-date, and that all teams have access to the relevant information.
• Drive continuous improvement and process efficiencies by continually updating and reporting on active and concluded campaign progress.
• Gain wider recognition for our brands and service through entry into award programmes, such as the Australian Wagyu Association Branded Beef Competition and relevant domestic and international foodservice, packaging and business awards.
• Work closely with the Head of Communications to drive further collaboration by ensuring any synergies under the Campaign & Marketing Officer’s remit that are applicable to other aspects of the business (e.g. Corporate, Imports, charity partners) are communicated and appropriately actioned.
Essential Criteria:
• Has initiative, discipline and can take accountability.
• Tertiary qualification in communications, business, agriculture or food-related disciplines.
• Excellent written and spoken English (prior written samples requested).
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder relationship skills, with prior experience driving campaigns.
• Strong strategic and analytical mindset.
• Sound computer (particularly Microsoft Office suite), database and internet literacy.
• C-class driver’s licence.
Desirable Criteria:
• Background in international trade and / or cultural studies. There are cultural sensitivities to be aware of in each of export markets when devising campaigns and an understanding of those will substantially help your success in the role.
• Multi-lingual.
• Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite.
