Position Overview:
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting engineering projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and contributing to the successful execution of our diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Support and Documentation:
o Assist in developing and interpreting civil engineering plans, designs, and specifications.
o Prepare detailed drawings and documentation for construction projects.
o Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and cost estimations.
o Maintain records of project details, progress, and compliance.
2. Fieldwork and Inspection:
o Conduct on-site inspections to monitor project progress and adherence to specifications.
o Collect and analyse data on-site for use in design and project planning.
o Identify potential issues during construction and report to the engineering team.
o Perform material testing and quality assurance checks.
3. Compliance and Standards:
o Ensure construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
o Assist in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures.
4. Communication and Coordination:
o Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project alignment.
o Respond to technical inquiries and provide support to stakeholders as required.
o Assist in preparing reports and presentations for clients and project teams.
5. Technical Support:
o Operate and maintain technical equipment, such as surveying tools and testing devices.
o Provide input on design modifications and improvements based on practical field insights.
o Support the planning and execution of site operations, including resource allocation.

Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Competency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as required.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Qualifications: Relevant certifications or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Skills: Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to Relocate: Open to relocating to Western Australia.
