Duties:
As a Network Engineer, you are responsible for the design and support of networking solutions and associated project delivery for First Focus and our clients.
The right person for this role will:
- Design, implement, maintain, and support our clients and First Focus’ growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and supporting scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet client objectives and SLAs.
- Operational Network Management and monitoring for client networks.
- Routing, Switching and firewall deployment of networking technologies.
- Provide project support as required to deliver projects across multiple clients.
- Resolve network and service issues
- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, SD-WAN)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
Desired Skills:
To perform this role, we are seeking most of the following experience:
- Solid network engineering experience
- Currently working for or have experience working for a Managed Service provider
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Experience with network technologies (i.e. Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Fortigate, Unifi, Aruba, Palo Alto)
- Exposure to Routing, switching, Wireless networking, Firewalling and advanced network security, SD-WAN etc
- Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification (CCNP certification highly valued)
- Fortinet Certifications would be valuable as well so if you have these, let us know
- If you have MS Server, Storage and Backup experience it would be considered super awesome
- Excellent written and spoken English
