We have just started the search for the best Part-Time Senior Events Coordinator in Australia. The Part-Time Senior Events Coordinator will play a pivotal role in executing First Focus’s event strategy, delivering outstanding experiences for our customers, prospects and partners. The Senior Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a variety of business events, across our different office locations in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to lead events that strengthen our brand, build relationships, and showcase First Focus’s culture and capabilities.
You will oversee all aspects of event coordination, from concept development to on-site execution, ensuring events are delivered to the highest standards and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Design and implement event strategies alongside the Marketing Manager and Head of Growth that align with First Focus’s business goals and brand.
- Event Management: Plan and execute events, including executive roundtables, lunch and learns, customer peer groups, and solution focused workshops.
- Budget Management: Develop and oversee event budgets, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality delivery.
- Logistics Coordination: Handle venue selection, vendor negotiations, catering, AV setup, travel arrangements, and any technical requirements.
- Marketing and Communication: Create event-related content, including invitations, promotional materials, and social media campaigns, in collaboration with the marketing team.
- On-Site Operations: Lead on-site event execution, managing logistics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a smooth guest experience.
- Post-Event Reporting: Evaluate event success, gather feedback, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for future improvements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, client services and leadership, to align event objectives with company goals. Will need to have a strong ability to delegate as well.
- Proven Expertise: Extensive experience in event coordination, including managing multiple high-profile events simultaneously.
- Project Management: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with experience working with diverse teams, clients, and vendors.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive, solutions-focused mindset to address challenges as they arise.
- Budget Oversight: Demonstrated experience in managing and optimising event budgets.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with event management tools and platforms is a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work outside of regular business hours when required.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- B2B events experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior event coordination role or similar experience.
