In this rewarding role, you will help clients achieve their recovery goals by providing low-intensity community support and facilitating access to higher intensity services when needed.

Your role will be varied and will require you to;

• Client Engagement: Build trust and professional relationships with clients to support them in reaching their recovery goals.
• Support Services: Encourage clients to engage with mental health, psychosocial rehabilitation, physical healthcare, and social support services.
• Recovery Framework: Use a Recovery framework to work collaboratively with clients, carers, families, and other supports to set and achieve goals.
• Practical Support: Provide direct, hands-on support to clients to help them maintain independent living skills.
• Group Activities: Plan and implement structured groups and activities to support client self-development in line with recovery objectives.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team and external stakeholders to ensure clients receive the highest quality service.
• Progress Reviews: Participate in regular reviews of client progress toward their recovery goals.

What you'll be doing

Based in Box Hill, you will work with the Substance Use Recovery Southern Melbourne (SURe) program to:

• Provide accessible, high quality, therapeutic AOD counselling and associated health services to the target group;
• Reduce AOD related harm to individuals and their families to promote recovery;
• Identify a range of co-occurring mental health, social and primary health issues associated with substance use, and to provide integrated and collaborative counselling and support to address these;
• Deliver a welcoming, hopeful, strength-based, family-inclusive, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, culturally appropriate, dual diagnosis capable service.
• Utilising MARAM and trauma informed frameworks support individuals that are experiencing, and using family violence.   

Who you'll be working with

You'll be working with a dedicated team of professionals within the Substance Use Recovery (SURe) program, passionate about helping people within the community to take further steps towards their recovery.

As part of the ITC team, your days will be varied and highly collaborative. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering direct support to clients with complex mental health needs through individualized support and recovery coordination
• Collaborating with participants to achieve their recovery goals and engage with families, carers, and professionals
• Implementing a range of evidence-informed psycho-social group supports
• Assisting clients to develop daily living and self-management skills for independent living
• Establishing and maintaining connections with relevant stakeholders and networks
• Maintaining expertise in a key co-morbid social determinant of health
• Contributing to program operations and meeting administrative requirements with precision
• Supporting the provision of after-hours on-call services across our two Youth Residential Recovery programs

Please note: This role requires flexibility to work between 9:00am-7:30pm weekdays (staff take on an average of one to two 11:30am-7:30pm shifts per week). During evening/lone shifts support is available from EACH’s after hours on-call service.

Flexibility is key, as you'll work between 9:00am - 7:30pm on weekdays and 11:00am - 4:00pm on Saturdays. • Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with clients

About the role
As the Team Leader – Integrated Therapeutic Community (ITC), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing therapeutic programming and operational management across two residential rehabilitation sites. You will lead a dedicated team of Youth and Family Workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to young people aged 16-25 with significant mental health and complex support needs. You will champion a strengths-based, youth-oriented approach, supporting the team in achieving performance targets through effective case management, therapeutic groupwork, and individual counselling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Youth and Family Workers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Establish strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service connectivity and community engagement
• Manage a caseload of clients, providing comprehensive support in mental health, substance use, physical health, and life skills development
• Ensure service quality and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements

As a Mental Health Trainee & Graduate Lead, you will support, manage and coordinate Trainees and Graduates, integrating them into the Mental Health Programs at EACH. 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Working collaboratively within the program services & with key stakeholders to coordinate Trainee placement(s).
• Providing line supervision to trainees and supporting their possible transition to employment within EACH mental health services post traineeship.
• Working in collaboration with the various program managers and educational institutions to ensure trainees meet their learning goals and educational obligations.

As part of the ITC team, your days will be varied and highly collaborative with your duties including:

• Providing direct support through the implementation of social and/or psychological strategies, case management skills, therapeutic group work, individual 1:1 support sessions, and family support using a strength-based approach.  
• Supporting young people address mental health recovery goals.   
• Supporting young people to develop activities of daily living (ADLs) and self-management skills for independent living.
• Liaising with other services involved in client recovery to ensure collaborative approach to care.
• There may be some outreach involved if required to support our Youth Outreach Recovery Support (YORS) program.

Support Workers assist NDIS participants with complex and varied behavioural, intellectual, mental health and physical support needs in homes and communities.

What you’ll be doing  
No two days will be the same in this role, with support you provide including, but being not limited to: 

• Following and implementing individual Behaviour Support Plans to assist NDIS participants to maintain or increase independence and achieve identified goals
• Providing support services to Customers with complex needs (inc. mental illness, autism and epilepsy), helping them to build confidence, self-determination and communication abilities.
• Occasional clients will require assistance with personal care such as hoisting on and off beds, showering, meal prepping.
