The Education and Research Unit provides Nursing and Midwifery education, professional practice development services and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for nursing and midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical leadership and clinical expertise relevant to the speciality of wound and stoma management. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) will work in collaboration with relevant Nurse and Midwife Unit Managers, Nurse and Midwife Educators, Nurse and Midwife Consultants and wider Central Queensland (CQ) Health program team to support the clinical units in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of wound and stoma management and care.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant will guide developing capacity and capability of clinical staff, through support and training in complex wound management, pressure injury prevention, and stoma care.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have:
*Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
*A relevant postgraduate diploma or Master's degree is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.
*Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate priorities, negotiation skills and effective time management.
*Demonstrate a working knowledge of the quality cycle and service improvement methodology.
*Comprehensive knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards.
*Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others; provides support; shares information and credit; considers the views of and involves colleagues in decision making; deals effectively with conflict; maintains effective working relationships with colleagues; mentors and provides leadership as appropriate.

Total remuneration value of up to $159,429 p.a. is comprised of:
*A salary between $64.90 - $70.47 p.h.
*12.75% employer superannuation contribution
