ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced global CFO, capable of building, organising, driving, and scaling our finance function globally. We are entering a new growth phase from a founder-led organisation to a truly global organisation. This role is critical in establishing the right discipline, rigour, and rhythm for the business now and into the future. This is a true partnership role with the CEO, the leadership team, and will involve regularly reporting to the board.
Responsibilities
- Overall management of the company’s financial position and financial decision making
- Passionately connected to the company’s goals of revenue growth, profitability and organisational scalability
- Developing financial strategy: Create and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve the company's financial goals
- Drive automation: Ensuring our company is streamlines, productive and efficient with real time data and reporting
- Forecasting: Provide accurate, actionable and accountable forecasts
- Managing budgets: Work with the LT to develop and land budget proposals
- Data analysis: Own and create operational data to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
- Treasury and Cash management: Ensuring the optimal working capital timelines and mix without compromising working capital
- Managing the relationship with Auditors, Banks, Tax Authorities, and other external authorities ensuring that Avolution meets all requirements and compliance obligations globally.
- Strong understanding of Australian and international taxation as relevant to a global SaaS business.
- Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and experience leading successful annual company audits within a specified timeframe.
- Managing risk: Perform and drive the company’s risk management plans and actions. Ensuring all relevant Board policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Own the company’s financial reporting: Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with all regulations in all geographies. Responsible for the delivery of all shareholder reporting.
- Develop, review, and monitor client contracts to ensure deals adhere to sound financial analysis for positive commercial outcomes Avolution.
- Deliver support to commercial/partnership teams to enable tracking, monitoring, and delivery of key SaaS model metrics and embed into team and individual KPIs and performance management frameworks.
- Managing finance personnel: Manage accounting procedures and supervise financial personnel. Build a great team.
- Advising on long-term planning: Advise on long-term business and financial planning. Facilitate linking of strategy through to financial outcomes and business modelling.
- Representing the organization: Represent the organization in appropriate forums and being able to comment on the financials.
ABOUT YOU
- Global CFO experience ideally in the software industry
- Ability to work a trusted business partner to CEO
- Experience in high growth environments
- Familiar with SaaS economics
- CA or CPA qualified
- Hands on, energetic and execution focused attitude
- Able to get into the detail and lead from the front
- Ability and appetite to rebuild processes and reporting from the ground up over the initial 100+days.
- Results orientated with a focus on execution – ‘get the job done’.
- Experience in board reporting
- Has built and led great teams
- Technologically proficient and can drive operational agenda
