Purpose Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Fitter is responsible for maintaining the complex equipment in our High Pressure Acid leaching/Hydro including Atmospheric leach (AL), Limestone circuits, Lime slaking circuits, Magnesia (including pneumatic transfer systems), Neutralisation & Precipitation Tank Operation, Filtration (Lavrox Vacuum), Thickening (CCD, Paste & High Rate) and Pumping Systems and Bagging Operations. This is a complex and challenging operation. The circuit and areas are typical of a hydrometallurgical process plant. The process plant areas consists of: A Beneficiation circuit, consisting of crushers and grinding mills with associated support systems and process circuits including conveying systems, vibrating screens, centrifugal and P.D pumps, pipework and cyclones, various sized tankage with agitation.
