Your ROLE
The HSEQ Coordinator will lead the Quality, Safety and Environment assurance effort for Galserv and be responsible for ensuring Safety Systems and legislative compliance is implemented, maintained, continuously improved and promoted with the Galserv team.

Your KEY RESULT AREAS will not be limited to:
Safety/Quality/Environment Operational
Develop, implement, and maintain Nepean B&I management systems ensuring ongoing accreditation to 14001, 4801 & 9001 and ensure systems are implemented and adhered to during regular audits.
Lead monthly NB&I statistical reporting on QA and WHSE with HSEQ team
Manage NCR’s and corrective actions and recommend continuous improvement activities for Galserv
Ensure implementation and performance management of all sections against quality procedures and, through the completion of quality audits.
Ensuring and organising specific training needs/requirements for all employees for QA and Safety compliance.
Conduct and assist in incident investigations and corrective actions as required
Ensure site compliance with legal and/or other requirements
Conduct and complete risk assessments
Manage H&S Committee and ensure feedback is given to management and workers
Provide H&S advise to employees regarding Health, Safety, welfare, environmental and quality issues
Return to Work Coordinator duties and claims processing

Our Opportunity
We are seeking an experience General Manager to join the team and provide a fresh and innovative mindset to the business’ objectives. This position is a critical leadership position, that owns multiple facets. Reporting into the Managing Director, this role is primarily responsible for the overall success and management of the business. Core responsibilities include however are not limited to:

Create and execute business sales and operations strategy
Support business development initiatives incl. assisting key customers and sales where required
Responsible for financial management, incl budgets, P&L and reporting
Focus on continuous improvement and succession planning
Provide leadership including the management and development of people

About the Role:
The Workshop is accountable to the Electronic Team Coordinator for the delivery of all field electronic repairs and maintenance and associated equipment, small and large project overhauls, service work as well as providing ongoing service to external and internal customers for Nepean Power projects. This position is a full-time opportunity and will be based in NSW.

This role will also require you to:
Develop strong working relationship with the Nepean Power Leading Hand and Foreman.
Provide ongoing service and support for existing clientele (internal and external) whilst working towards 100% productivity.
Investigate customer complaints, identify issues and recommend remedial measures.
Fault finding and function testing of electronic/electrical equipment.

Ideal applicants will possess the following:
At least 3 years’ experience
Trade Certificate –Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent
Coal Board Medical / BMA Health Assessment
Construction Induction (White or Blue Card)

Current Drivers Licence (MR or HR class is desirable)
High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift (desirable)

The Right Person
Will provide in-depth technical product knowledge and general engineering service to support the sale of new equipment and aftermarket parts and service
Will provide and maintain specific expertise in their nominated product line (Conveyor Pulleys) and all related Software specific to the Product Line not limited to Design, detail design and drafting
Will oversee all Research and Technology Development (RTD), New Product Development (NPD) and Current Product Engineering (CPE) tasks within Conveyor Components (CC).

To be considered for this opportunity, the right person will have:

Qualification and Experience
Bachelor degree in Engineering
A proven track record with a relevant experience in Engineering in mining & construction business or steel related industry
Expert and highly skilled in material handling conveyor components
Nominated Product Line Manufacturing experience
Nominated Product Line Expert Design Experience
A good understanding of the mining industry and work practices is desirable
Knowledge of and experience with Sandvik Mining and Construction product range
Knowledge of Sandvik’s way of working would be beneficial

Your daily duties will include however are not limited to;

Technical
Maintain high level knowledge and experience in a specific Prok product line (Conveyor Pulleys), as nominated in the organisational structure for the group
Undertake product application process support from initial conceptualization of solution to delivery of operational outcome
Responsible for the background design fundamentals and equations
Understand the operation of NEPEAN industrial equipment and provide technical assistance during project installation, commissioning, and maintenance
Ensures calculations for mechanical, elements of design are conducted to the appropriate standards
Responsible person for the development and deployment of our proprietary internal Pulley design Program
In depth knowledge of pulley design encompassing end disc stress cause and effect, shaft design locking assembly selection
Undertake investigations into the failure or sub-standard performance of Prok equipment using specialist product knowledge

Business Growth and Development
Lead the regional engineering team to support the Sales group in generating business by providing assistance with product selection, and developing value propositions, including product enhancements, that suit particular client applications
Liaise with Sales and Engineering Manager, as required, to provide information that supports the ongoing development and improvement of Prok products
Track and report the appropriate metrics for R&D
Maintain and develop any required product templates, e.g. BOMs and drawing templates, within the Product Lifecycle Management tool
Oversee the patent application process for new CC designs
Responsible for the nominated product line for all technical queries from Operations, that cannot be adequately clarified by the Production Engineer.

Customer Service
As appropriate provide audit services at client’s sites for the purpose of identifying improvement and value add opportunities
Support the Business Infrastructure / Segment Aftermarket groups to rectify operational problems with Prok equipment.
Financial Experience – awareness of financial performance of the business
