As an Electrician Apprentice (3rd Year) within the Energy360 business you will be responsible for learning the skills to conduct electrical work in the assembly, installation and testing of electrical wiring, components and equipment for a variety of E360 products. This role in based in Carrum Downs.
Energy360 is recognised as a key player in Australia’s emerging renewable gas sector. With this source of renewable energy proven as a market leading solution in Europe to replace natural gas, Energy360’s services are in high demand. Energy360 has created this new role to support the existing electrical team and contribute toward delivering leading Australian market renewable gas products.

What you’ll be doing:
Participating in the performance of risk assessments of tasks and understanding how to read drawings and applicable documents as well as participating in the assembling, installing, testing and maintaining electrical equipment such as wiring and components.
Knowing how to use a variety of tools and equipment such as power tools, measuring devices, ammeters and test lamps to install and assemble electrical wires, components or equipment.
Participating in performing functional testing on electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and components using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Participating in diagnosing malfunctioning systems, equipment and components, using testing equipment and hand tools to identify and determine the cause of the problem/s and correct accordingly.
Participating in repairing or replacing outdated or faulty electrical wires, equipment or components and communicating any delays in allocated tasks.
What you’ll bring:
3rd year Electrical apprentice with electrical experience in a similar industry as well as mechanical and technical aptitude and good attention to detail.
Working towards a Cert II in Electrotechnology Electrician, and Electrical Licence (applicable for Victoria); High Risk Domain Licence; WHS requirements certificate; Disconnect-Reconnect electrical equipment connected to low voltage (LV) installation wiring certificate; Install, commission and service Type B gas appliances; First Aid & CPR; and Chain of Responsibility certificate.
The desire to improve your technical skills and build your professional knowledge, enabling you to find quick solutions to any problems you may encounter in your profession.
High level of communication and ability to talk with various different people within a team.
