About the role
Joining Dataly Actuarial as a Senior Actuarial Consultant means taking a central role in delivering exceptional actuarial and data services to clients in the Australian financial services and life insurance industry. The ideal candidate, with substantial experience in actuarial data roles and robust consulting skills, will be a driving force behind client success.
As a Senior Actuarial Consultant, you bring a wealth of experience to the team. Your demonstrated skills encompass Australian financial services and life insurance industry expertise, proficiency in data modelling and system development, and technical prowess in emerging technologies, all while adhering to high service standards. Effective communication with clients and internal management is paramount, involving the translation of intricate technical analyses and systems into comprehensible business insights for informed decision-making and successful outcomes. Additionally, you play a crucial role in collaborating on and supporting Dataly Actuarial programs, systems, and tools. Your active contribution to both your own and the team’s professional development is vital, ensuring you stay current with knowledge, technologies, and advancements in the data, financial services, and life insurance industries.
About you
Qualifications: Actuarial Tertiary degree with advanced progress towards FIAA qualification (or equivalent) or recently qualified.
Experience: 3-5 years of work experience in the Financial Services or Life Insurance Industry, specialising in data.
Competency: Knowledge and proficiency in actuarial techniques and the life insurance regulatory framework.
Technical Skills: Experience in extracting, cleansing, and analysing data. Exposure to Data Visualization tools is advantageous.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professionalism: Acts professionally, ethically, and with integrity, setting an example for the team.
Skills: Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attitude: Flexible, proactive, and collaborative.
