Reporting into the Compliance Operations Manager, you will understand the value the compliance operations functions have in delivering key business objectives and have the foresight to spot opportunities to innovate and develop new ways of operating.

What you’ll do

• Great Attention to Detail: Conduct Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence for new corporate and consumer relationships
• Strong Investigative Skills: Complete ongoing monitoring of customer relationships on the back of trigger events or through their regular review cycle. Investigate transaction monitoring alerts and evaluate whether they are unusual or suspicious
• PEP & Sanctions Screening: Review PEP and Sanction screening referrals for clients and beneficiaries at registration and transactional level in line with Xe’s policy
• Analytical & Trends: Analyse transaction data and fraud metrics to determine trends and indicators which may assist in detecting and preventing online fraud
• Operational Compliance: Provide day to day compliance operations assistance and support to wider teams within Xe
• Remain up to date on Xe’s core business activities and assist in the analysis of proposed business initiatives from a compliance operations perspective
• Situational Adaptability: Maintain high levels of performance at all times including situations with challenging timeframes and complex situations and scenarios
• Team Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, collaborative team culture by maintaining open professional communications and being a team player
• Process Improvement & Efficiencies: Strive towards continuous improvement of the compliance operations function.

Who you are:

• Passionate about Compliance: Educated to degree level or at least 1 years’ experience gained working within a similar role within the FX/Payments industry or within a similar regulated organisation
• Effective Communicator: Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
• Prioritisation & Organisation: Strong organisational skills to enable identification of required tasks and deadlines and planning and prioritisation of these tasks in an appropriate manner

The Compliance Manager will take ownership of the development and maintenance of the compliance structures and frameworks established by epay, including, but not limited to, compliance with the AFS license requirements, AML Program, Financial Crime policies, Privacy Act and Corporations Act.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

·       Ensure compliance with ongoing AFS license requirements.

·       Assume the role of the designated AML Compliance Officer under the provisions of the epay AML/CTF Program.

·       Provide formal reports to the Board on a regular basis.

·       Maintain and further improve the compliance framework through the development and implementation of comprehensive policies and procedures.

·       Ensure IFTI reporting obligation is met with AUSTRAC.

·       Develop and maintain control test plans in relation to the Financial Crime Policy.

·       Interact and nurture relationships with AUSTRAC and ASIC.

·       Update policies and procedures in accordance with any legislation or regulation change, in terms of AML/CTF, Privacy Act and Corporations Act.

·       Oversee Anti-Money Laundering, financial crimes, and sanctions compliance matters.

·       Provide/coordinate training for appropriate employees and new employees on AML requirements, policies, and procedures.

·       Manage and oversee regulatory examinations and internal and external audits.

·       Manage and deliver all regulatory reporting requirements.

·       Ensure transaction monitoring for suspicious activity is conducted according to internal procedures.

·       Maintain oversight of the due diligence process.

·       Work closely with all business units to ensure compliance with applicable law, regulations and polices.

An exciting opportunity for a part time Compliance Manager to join a wonderful team. You will be required to work in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (3 days per week).

·       Proven compliance experience in financial services or payments systems.

·       Experience in ASF license maintenance.

·       Experience in managing a compliance function.

·       Positive past dealings with the Reserve Bank, AUSTRAC and/or ASIC.

·       Ability to understand complex financial products.

·       Understand and capable of handling dual reporting structure.

·       Excellent organization skills.

·       Creative thinking and affinity to innovation.

·       Excellent analytical skills and with the ability to deliver results under pressure.
