About the role The focus of the role is to lead the technical analysis and resolution of process & equipment problems by identifying the root causes of plant and equipment breakdowns and to implement countermeasures. This can involve coordination between maintenance & cross-functional teams including external technical resources   Duties will include:   Management of the maintenance and administration of plant’s SCADA and PLC networks Support for the maintenance team in the continuing improvement initiatives, technical review & audit, development of technical & budgetary proposals Technical direction and support to the melt shop in maintaining and updating maintenance documentation Engineering support servicing as technical resource for Production and to other support groups in the investigation & analysis of production & quality issues, Process optimisation and research & development initiatives including upgrading projects to improve plant’s operation, efficiency, and compliance to safety & environmental regulations.
