The Cafe/Restaurant Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Benefits Competitive salary in the range of $71,000 - $76,000 based on experience Employee discounts on food and beverages Positive and supportive work environment Task & Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the cafe/restaurant, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service and uphold company standards Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity Manage food and beverage costs, budgeting, and financial reporting Create and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus and special promotions Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff members Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve operations Qualification & Experience Previous experience in a managerial role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a cafe/restaurant setting Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, ordering, inventory management and specially the good knowledge of porcine-centric menu Familiarity with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred About Company Little Oink is a modern Australian café and fully licenced bar located in Cook, ACT with a sitting capacity of 65-70 patrons at a time.
