Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established and renowned child care and early learning industries, my client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team based in the Headquarters - due to remarkable growth. This is a permanent full time opportunity. This role is to ensure timely collection of payments, enhance cash flow, maintain accurate financial records and foster positive relationships with customers.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Accounts Receivable Manager:
Collect Fees and Deposits for all Childcare Centres by preparing and processing weekly EFT files
Manage Direct Debit declines and the Collection of these fees across our campuses
Ensure Xplor accurately reflects the collection of fees and manual payments
Ensure Ad hoc fees, including declined fees, are actioned within assigned timeframe
Process Credit or Bond refunds
Contact all dishonored weekly fee accounts and ensure outstanding debts are brought to a satisfactory conclusion
Follow up on all outstanding debt and declined fees, ensuring payments are received prior to next weekly billing cycle
Address and resolve any Billing inquiries assigned by investigating and resolving matters in alignment with guidelines and policies
BPoint credit card charges are to be processed and reconciled on a daily basis
Manual charges will need to be actioned upon based on request
Ad-hoc administration tasks as required
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function:
Diploma/Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 1 year (or equivalent) demonstrated related experience in similar position
Experience in commercial or education environment is highly desirable
Experience in large Accounting ERP systems
Intermediate Excel knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain ongoing effective relationships with stakeholders
Junior candidates with good exposure to AR - collections experience

$65,000 - $75,000 + Super (Based on experience)
