As Financial Crime Operations Officer, you will manage customer onboarding, address financial crime escalations, conduct ongoing monitoring and enhanced customer due diligence (ECDD), and take proactive measures to prevent fraud and safeguard CoinJar's customers.

This full-time role is on a 12-month contract with the potential to move to permanent, offering a hybrid work arrangement between our Melbourne CBD office and your home.

Responsibilities

• Review and conduct KYC and ECDD for individuals, companies, trusts and SMSF
• Review and action watchlist alerts
• Review and action alerts to detect and prevent suspicious activities in accordance with the AML legislation
• Assist with lodging suspicious matter reports to AUSTRAC
• Action Financial Crime related escalations from CoinJar Support and the wider CoinJar team
• Assist the Senior Manager of Financial Crime Operations as necessary

This position is responsible for maintaining the billing system, generating invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing support to customers regarding their queries and documentation needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Billing System Management
  • Maintain and update the billing system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information

  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone and email
  • Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R, so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing

  • Provide support for the month-end process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

• Developing staff education materials and presentations to support organisation wide implementation of climate adaptive approaches. 
• Researching and preparing reports on issues relating to a sustainable environment and making recommendations for further work, particularly with relation to climate change adaptation.

• Knowledge, experience and interest in environmental issues, particularly climate adaptation and sustainable procurement in relation to embedded emissions.
• The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with a broad range of stakeholders.

• Data analysis and evaluation skills
• An understanding of sustainability and environmental issues
• Liaise and develop cooperative working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective outcomes.
