You will lead and mentor the operations team at our new Altona depot, working closely with the national leadership team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- P&L Management: Overseeing the financial performance of the depot.
- Relationship Development: Building and maintaining strong connections with clients and stakeholders.
- Change and Improvement Initiatives: Driving and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Supporting and guiding the team to exceed their goals and achieve personal growth.

The Role:
- Leadership of all staff to ensure the effective, efficient and safe operation of the depot.
- Manage compliance with all relevant industry legislation, regulations (including but not limited to CoR and Fatigue Management) and community expectations.
- Actively manage the operational and financial performance to the set budgets and business goals, using KPI’s to monitor outcomes.
- Adherence to National Operations Standards (NOS) throughout your depot, agents and subcontractors.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures.
- Lead and facilitate improvement projects which will create efficiencies, reduce waste, lower operational costs and increase customer satisfaction across the operation.
- Providing exceptionally strong leadership and mentoring of all direct reports.
- Be the champion of employee engagement and development of key talent within your team.
About you:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Complex understanding of the National Heavy Vehicle Legislation
- Ability to build and develop strong working relationships and a strong drive to deliver business outcomes
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Relations and Employment Relations policies and requirements
- Ability to process and interpret complex information, then adjust according to the audience receiving the information
- Ability to work flexibly and to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
