A fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Officer has become available in our National Payroll team based in Minchinbury, NSW.  This is a fixed term position until 31 August 2025. 

This role is responsible for the review, analysis, and calculation of workers compensation payments for all injured workers nationally. You will support our Payroll and Safety departments with process improvement initiatives and projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to optimise our worker’s compensation processes. 

What does the role look like?  

• Review, analyse and calculate workers compensation payments for all injured workers nationally 
• Handle adjustment calculations of injured workers’ entitlements based on state legislation 
• Reconcile insurer remittances 
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and safety professionals across the business 
• Manage payroll queries and ensure responses are timely 
• Providing support to the Payroll and Safety Departments 
• Support and assist continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems 
• PIAWE calculations and reviews 
• Ad-hoc duties as required 

• Part time ongoing position, with workdays on Monday & Thursday (9:54am-6:00pm) and every second Saturday (9:00am-3:00pm)

As our Reception/Administration Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our centre. Your days will be dynamic and fulfilling, encompassing both reception and administrative duties to support our team of dedicated professionals.

Key responsibilities:

• Form part of the reception team and liaise with headspace clients, staff, and other professionals both in person and over the phone, providing professional, friendly, warm and calm assistance
• Register and coordinate appointment bookings for our headspace primary staff, Youth Health Clinic, Allied health professionals and co-located services
• Ensure reception, waiting rooms, and consulting areas are tidy, comfortable, and inviting daily
• Arrange and prepare meeting/training rooms as needed, facilitating smooth operations for internal meetings and community engagements
• Assist with ordering supplies and coordinating maintenance tasks
• Perform data entry of client information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks set by the Line Manager, including supporting the billings system, recording client details into the CRM, scanning/uploading files and maintaining office supplies

About you
To excel in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience working in an office environment, preferably within a medical or health setting
• A vibrant and engaging personality demonstrating your ability to create positive and welcoming environments for clients
• Ability to communicate with and support young people and their families with complex needs
• Demonstrated experience/interest in working with young people
• Proficiency in phone management, front desk operations, and office administration, with a keen focus on client relations and service excellence
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively
• Demonstrated experience or interest in working with young people
• Proficiency in the use of digital technologies including word, excel, client records management and booking systems (EpiSoft)
• A certificate IV Business / Medical Administration equivalent or demonstrated learned experience is highly regarded

Looking for a motivated Environmental Services Officer to assist with the delivery of Environmental Services programs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carry out Environmental Services waste and litter programs including:
  • Roadside waste collection
  • Shop cleaning
  • Litter collection
  • Dead animal and syringe collection
  • Smoker’s pole clearances
• Respond to work requests through Hume’s CRM including updating job notes, attaching photos and closing out or referring jobs as necessary.
• Operate all types of waste and litter collection vehicles.
• Where necessary assist with the domestic waste collection program by driving the vehicle and emptying bins in accordance with approved programs.
• Conduct pre-start checks and perform routine maintenance on a daily basis in accordance with approved pre-start and post checklists and maintenance programs.
• Carry out collection and disposal programs in accordance with Council’s Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and contractors.
• Dispose of waste and litter collected at Council’s resource recovery centres as required.
• Comply with the quality and safety systems requirements by completing appropriate paperwork.
• Complete a daily timesheet and running sheet detailing activities for the day.
• Report any maintenance/repairs requirements to Fleet Services.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

• A demonstrated understanding of municipal environmental services operations and practices.
• Basic awareness of relevant legislation including, "Road Management Act 2004".
• Knowledge of Works Programming, plant & equipment selection.
• Ability to obtain and hold required licenses and certifications.
• Knowledge of the Heavy Vehicle National Law and Regulations.
• Ability to gain co-operation and communicate verbally to a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute and work in a team environment. Ability to work individually or as part of a team.

Required Certifications & Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Waste Management or substantial relevant experience in the field of waste and litter programs with lesser formal qualifications.
• Relevant experience in the field of waste and litter collection and disposal or a similar maintenance environment.
• Current heavy vehicle truck licence.
