As a key member of the Medical Imaging team, the Grade 2 Night Shift Radiographer acts as a role model in demonstrating enhanced clinical knowledge and leadership skills predominately outside regular business hours (Night Shift). The Successful candidate will, under the direction of the Generals modality supervisors and/or Chief Radiographers provide leadership, mentoring, training and education to Radiographers rostered to night shift where additional support is limited on site across Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals. The Grade 2 Night Shift Radiographer ensures high quality diagnostic images are achieved using the ALARA principle.
To be Successful in this Role you will
Assist the Grade 3/4 Radiographers in providing leadership, mentoring, training and education to Radiographers rostered to night shift
Ensure all Radiographers operate within their scope of practice, and current level of competence at all times while on night shift
Effectively respond to and manage any emergency or heightened demand periods, ensuring adequate staff resources are utilised (on-site and/or on call resources) and escalation pathways are followed to provide excellent patient care and access to Medical Imaging services
Work Collaboratively with ED staff and referring units to ensure consistent and timely service delivery
Liaise with Medical and Nursing teams regarding scheduling, preparation and delays to imaging examinations.
$88,467.60 – $101,691.20+ Super based on Experience per ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021 – 2026.
