About the Service:
This established Before and After School service located on the Lower North Shore, is dedicated to providing high-quality out of school hours care programs that cater to all students' needs. They are looking for a dedicated Director, who is passionate about delivering a fun and enriching environment where all children feel safe and lead a committed team into 2024.
About the Role:
The OOSH Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of day to day operations and delivery of the programs. They will liaise with the school committee and families to ensure that the evolving needs of all children are met and will be instrumental in the growth and enhancement of the OOSH programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Strong leadership, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Continually assess and understand the needs and preferences of students and tailor program activities accordingly
Develop and implement creative and engaging ideas and activities that promote learning, fun and growth
Oversee daily operations, adhering to policies, safety procedures and regulatory requirements
Liaise with School committee to ensure overall operations are running smoothly
Manager budgets effectively and ensure financial sustainability and accountability
Recruit, train and supervise staff, promoting development and teamwork, managing permanent and casual staff
Build positive working relationships with parents, guardians and the school community
Provide regular reports to school committee on performance, challenges and achievements, as well as financial presentations

About You:
The successful candidate will be dedicated to achieving the overall goal for ensuring the children are safe and receive an enriching experience while attending the OOSH Program. They are professional in their manner, articulate themselves in person and via email, are adaptable to a changing environment and continue to maintain these in a confrontational situation.
Qualifications:
Ideally completed a Diploma of Children's Services or completed a Bachelor's degree (open to any field)
Experience in a Centre Director Role, ideally within a larger centre
Strong leadership and team building skills
Sound understanding of National Quality Standard, laws and regulations and My Time Our Place learning framework
Excellent communication - both written and in person
Commitment and knowledge of child safety regulations and best practices
Budget management and financial judgment
Current Police Check, Working with Children's Check, Child protection and First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
