About The Role including Job duties and Responsibilities:
Orchard Café is looking for a full time Cafe Manager. We are looking forward to welcoming hospitality professionals on board that are motivated to bring knowledge, passion and experience to this venue and that are excited to learn and grow in this business.
The Key Job duties and Responsibilities are:
• Ensure high-quality customer service standards are met to enhance customer satisfaction by resolving customer complaints professionally and promptly.
• Recruit, train, and develop café staff to ensure efficient operations and service consistency.
• Create and manage staff rosters to maintain adequate coverage and balance labor costs.
• Coordinate with chefs and baristas on menu development and seasonal offerings aligned with customer preferences.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure the availability of required ingredients and supplies.
• Manage food and beverage costs by minimising waste, controlling portion sizes, and sourcing cost-effective suppliers.
• Develop and monitor the café’s budget, ensuring expenditures align with financial goals.
• Track daily sales, monitor revenue trends, and set targets for staff to optimise profitability.
• Oversee cash handling and daily reconciliation processes to maintain financial accuracy and security.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
• Enforce cleanliness and hygiene protocols across dining, kitchen, and storage areas.
• Plan and implement promotional activities, events, and specials to attract new customers and increase foot traffic.
• Engage with the local community and foster customer loyalty through targeted marketing and social media.
• Manage customer loyalty programs to encourage repeat visits and build a loyal customer base.
• Analyse and optimise daily operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Adopt industry best practices for service delivery, inventory management, and staff coordination.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Diploma level qualification in Management or Business.
At least ‘two Year’ Experience in a similar role and in similar environment
Strong communications skills,
Salary:
Salary will be in between $70,000-$75000 per year plus superannuation.
