The Opportunity
Come and discover the opportunity to join our Novar Gardens team in our BlueScope Building Components business as a Management Accountant. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.
In this 12-month fixed term contract role, you’ll support the business through expert financial insights and analysis in order to drive continuous improvement, operational and cost efficiencies. You’ll develop relationships to influence key internal customers and foster collaboration and teamwork across the Finance Team. Maintaining a broad network of relationships, you’ll be an integral part of the team responsible for ensuring financial elements of the business strategy are met.
What Will You Do?
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be a valued commercial partner to our business. You will work closely with the Commercial Manager, making impactful commercial recommendations to support business decision-making. You will also:
- provide expert financial advice and analysis to assist the business in achieving strategic objectives
- partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance, including business improvement initiatives
- develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to gather data and understand business requirements
- plan, co-ordinate and deliver financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
- ensure appropriate financial systems, processes and controls are in place to yield high-quality decision support information
More About You
As an experienced Management Accountant, you will have:
- tertiary qualifications in Commerce or related discipline, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a post graduate qualification
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- an inquisitive personality with a natural curiosity to explore and understand business processes and challenges
- a positive can-do attitude, with a strong willingness to take ownership and drive initiatives forward
