Sodexo is seeking expression of interest for Airport Reporting Officer to work in our team at ERA Jabiru Village, NT. The Airport Reporting Officer role is required to work Monday to Friday – 10hours per day hence will require to be based in Jabiru or willing to relocate to Jabiru from Darwin.
What do our ARO's do on site?
Reporting to the Village Manager you will assist with check in duties, monitoring and answering the CTAF, compiling manifests, maintaining aerodrome buildings and grounds as well as any other duties as required.
You must have strong safety awareness, a safe work ethic and a readiness to commit to working various shifts and being on call. It is advantageous to have an Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate.
ARO responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Local Aircraft Ground support, including care flights
- Compiling Manifests and other administrative Duties including inductions & escorts
- Conducting Weekly, Daily Audits
- Emergency Response Duties
- Ground Handling Duties such as loading and unloading of freight and baggage.
- Passengers checks ins.
- Facility Cleaning and maintaining Aerodrome Buildings and Grounds.
- Support Other Contractor departments as required.
Certifications:
- Hold a current ARO Licence, CASA Radio Certification, Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)
- Current Manual Driver’s Licence (Class C) is required
- First Aid Certificate
- Dangerous Goods awareness
- Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights
- Ability to undergo pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check
