This newly created position, Clinical Manager - Agency Workforce , has been designed to support the clinical, educational and operational requirements of Tasmania's largest nursing agencies, Nurseline and Pulse Nursing Employment. With over 20 years of experience providing agency nurses to the acute hospital, aged care and community sectors, we have developed a strong reputation for employing only the most suitable and qualified on-hired and permanent nurses. The Clinical Manager - Agency Workforce will provide Nursing and Pulse Nursing Employments' nurses with the highest level of clinical support and education to ensure contemporary healthcare practices remain the bedrock of our operation. They will work closely with the State Nursing Manager to ensure our nurses continue to meet the highest level of clinical expertise and demonstrate the required levels of clinical practice. They will provide in-field preceptorship support to graduates, the transitioning or newly arrived overseas nurses. They will work closely with our clients Nursing Unit Manager and Facility Managers to ensure our agency nurses have the same opportunities for induction and ongoing educational support as a client-employed nurse. To be consider for the role, the Clinical Manager - Agency Workforce , will be able to demonstrate:
Effective clinical governance and leadership in a past acute and aged care environment
Past mentoring support of a nursing workforce to ensure high standards of clinical performance and outcomes are achieved
Prior experience working with Facility or Nursing Unit Managers, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and community services to ensure optimal service delivery.
Insights to the training and educational requirements of an agency workforce and the engagement of appropriate delivery partners
The ability to undertake clinical evaluations and performance reviews
Sound understanding of clinical care documentation and systems
An adherence to WHS legislation and monitoring of safe work environments
A contemporary approach to injury and risk mitigation
Essential
5+ years of clinical experience
Registered Nurse with current and applicable registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Practical application of the Aged Care Act 1997 and the Quality-of-Care Principles 2014 to the clinical area of nursing and personal care
Excellence communication and judgement
Unrestricted drivers licence as statewide travel is required
This role is being offered as a full-time permanent opportunity and could be based in either Launceston or Hobart. Depending on support requirements, some out of normal hours will be required as well as the need for regular statewide travel.
