About the Role

An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Commercial Lead to join our Maintenance and Outage team at Loy Yang. Reporting to the Maintenance Improvement & Contract Administration Manager, you will be responsible for managing commercial functions within the team and overseeing good contract and commercial governance including solid vendor management across the site.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and influencing implementation of contract strategies at Loy Yang in collaboration with key internal/external stakeholders.
• Performing accurate data analysis and analytical support to procurement partners and maintenance stakeholders.
• Providing strategic direction for the planning and management of continuous improvement and transformative activities.
• Providing Procurement and Commercial advice to a broad range of stakeholders.
• Managing, leading and supporting contract governance and management to realise agreed commercial outcomes.
• Facilitating and managing the creation of Maintenance Contractor Scopes, Contract Orders, KPI’s and PO’s.
• Facilitating the development and implementation of Contract Management Plans.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will be an established Contract Management / Commercial professional, ideally with experience working within a heavy industrial setting.

What you’ll bring to the table

• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including a demonstrated capacity to develop viable procurement strategies.
• Ability to identify business drivers and issues facing a large-scale heavy industry setting, and the ability to assist in translating these into contract requirements.
• Effective negotiating and influencing skills in a collaborative manner.
• Experience in developing and implementing end-to-end Source to Contract activities, commercial outputs, strategy developments.

Job Family Group:

SGS is searching for a Field Sampling Technician, to perform field sampling and monitoring activities; ensuring all incoming samples to Notting Hill Laboratory are unpacked, sorted, and logged into the information management system in a timely manner.  

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

• Plan, coordinate, schedule and perform field sampling and field-testing in conjunction with Field Sampling Supervisor
• Ensure field sampling equipment is always maintained to ensure safe operation
• Ensure consistent methodologies and safety protocols as in place for the services
• Conduct sample reception duties as required and ensure samples are taken correctly in accordance with client requirements and NATA guidelines
• Organise dispatch of sample containers/kits to customers as required
• Unpack and sort samples in a timely manner
• Ensure samples are identified, labelled, and stored correctly
• Register samples using the laboratory information management system
• Ensure all samples are free of contamination during sampling and sub-sampling process
• Perform sample disposal
• Perform other duties as directed by the management team.

SGS is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to fill a full-time position based in Notting Hill, Melbourne. The role is responsible for the analytical testing and reporting for soil, water, air and other sample matrices conducted in the Inorganic, Organic and Radio Chemistry Sections of Environmental Laboratory. 

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

• Undertake sample preparation, analytical and radio chemistry analysis and reporting by conventional analytical methods and modern instrumental methods including GC, GC/MSMS, HPLC, LC/MSMS, ICP/MS, FIA.
• Perform laboratory equipment calibrations.
• Understand and comply to general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.
• Ensure equipment and laboratory is kept clean and tidy avoiding contamination, clutter and to protect the company’s assets.
• Maintain and update skills, qualifications and knowledge through courses and on the job training to support improvement.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team at Portland Aluminium.

As a Planner at our Portland Smelter, you are responsible for maximising maintenance and process effectiveness and efficiency by planning all scheduled activities prior to the commencement of a job. This involves safely integrating manufacturing and financial requirements into an effective Maintenance Plan.

The Maintenance Planner strives to continuously improve productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through effective planning and co-ordination. Other responsibilities include:

• Developing the weekly plan and facilitating weekly planning meetings in line with standardised Alcoa planning processes.
• Supporting the daily planning process and making information available to ensure successful work execution in a timely and effective manner as well as capturing outcomes.
• Ensuring people, parts and processes are available for maintenance activities in a timely manner.
• Contributing to maintenance efficiency and effectiveness by participating in reviews of major activities, seeking improvements, reporting on such activities and initiating action where appropriate.
• Assisting in financial budget preparation, forecasting and maintenance strategies; ensuring long-term activity schedules are accurate and up to date.

About the role

• This is a Full time, Permanent role where you will work 7.6 hours x 5 days a week (6AM Starts)

• Provide administrative support to our workshops across the country including raising purchase orders to vendors and maintaining compliance standards and documentation

• Work closely with Schedulers to ensure 3rd party work is booked in promptly and accurately

• Word processing and data entry, and ensuring all records are kept and well documented

• Processing of workshop labour onto work orders, and accounting for daily, weekly and monthly business deadline and data submissions

• Ensuring all major expenditure is approved before purchase

• Processing administrative tasks for 3rd party maintenance, and using our inhouse systems to capture vehicle maintenance data accurately.

• Processing of service tasks and receipting into UNIBIS systems

• Receipting of orders into Unibis system of 3rd party maintenance, inventory and other type orders

• Reporting and Investigating Safety Incidents and Near Misses as they occur
